Morris Albert (born Maurício Alberto Kaisermann, 7 September 1951, Sao Paulo, SP, Brazil[1]) is a Brazilian singer and songwriter, famous for his 1975 hit single "Feelings".
A very good delivery of the song, but the main reason why I keep on watching this was the piano at 3:10 - 4:08. That was INTENSE! Nina Simone, you were a genius.
This perfomance made me cry more than once. Its funny how everyone who is listening to her, here in youtube, say exactly the same, and we have no idea how it would be to be in that beautiful concert. Nina shows emotion in every word
I always thought the commercial version of this song was crap. But this.... She's broken; devastated. Wasted under the withering force of loss. How she can feel that and still sing. Her face shows the story the song can't reveal. Incredibly powerful!
Qué interpretación emocionante!! Qué gran artista!! Qué calidez, qué convincente!! El sentimiento con que Nina canta y actúa este tema es incomparable. Una maravilla, ...DEAR NINA , GOD BLESS YOU!! THANKS A LOT for this priceless jew ,it is able to get any heart broken in tears .
I could listen to the first minute of this video 200 times in a row, and still be convinced it has more feeling than 90% of the complete records I have ever heard.
@fk6935 no the audience was not brain damaged they just did not want to mess with GREATNESS but she wanted them to join in to take some of the emotion out of the song because she did not want to cry,it did not work so she got a little mad and that stoped her from crying.
@jorgee57 You think? I don't. The audience watched her perform instead of participated with her - that's what she wanted. If their silence was in reverence, she would have felt the energy...Not even the applause afterwards could compensate for the lack of participation earlier on...
she is angry, sad, I am Not sure about the audience. they dont seem keen to connect with her, but it may be that they were mesmerized with her performance and didnt want to spoil the magic..
Lost you and couldnt cry about it before, this is the first time I did, listening to this song, thats why is so special,
@saritachhula1 I think that you forgot to add disappointment. Disappointment that the audience couldn't/wouldn't/didn't want to grasp the concept or context of her version of the song. I just love this woman's rebellion/resistance - in speech, in hairstyle, in dress, in makeup - or lack thereof - and most definitely in song, performance and playing her instrument, the piano.
Thank you for posting this. Nina the High Priestess!

Ever wonder why Matt Bellamy loves Nina Simone? 3:10 - 4:10 might explain a thing or two.

Even the awkward moment when the camera man steps in at the wrong time doesn't interrupt the viewer's experience.

This is a great example of what an artist must be and must do.
Throwing yourself into emptiness to discover you and let the people find themselfs throw you and what you do.
