Time fuse is cross matched because the casing does not burn away leaving a solid shell if the end of the time fuse gets crimped it can be sealed up and not pass any fire
awesome dave, i like the rockets. specialy the 5 time dark report, i altso a rocket maker, and i have never heard about dark flash powder, mayby a kind of copper oxide and AL flash? its not so bright. i will soon put op a video with my 4'' canister rocket with strobe crossettes. keep up the good work.
@frosty956 dark report does not contain gums it contains antimony trisulfide chlorate ocationally sulfur and the finest dark aluminium(4 micron or bellow is used) it is very sensitive and I strongly discourage anyone from making it
@frosty956 I Had a look and cant find any formulas containing either(gums or perchlorate) and I know that to get a perchlorate version with a hint of power and low light output is virtually impossible (I did a fair bit of experimenting to try and get it to work)
@Ralphgtx280 red gum, rosin, sulfur, sugar and any volitile hydrocarbon will work, with varying success, but of course they are all sensitive. The trick is to have good confinement, its not like regular flash powder, it needs pressure to build up its burn rate (to vapourise the fuels) where as regular metal based ones are fast because of the small metal particle size.
very nice, do u know what he used for end plugs at 2:00 ?
Thanks
sam

Usually it is potassium chlorate or perchlorate and something like antimony or antimony sulfide, or gum or rosin etc.
