  • Hmm. Your attacks are becoming increasingly erratic. Well, Arondeus, I wish you well in your life. As you claim to be in favour of people doing their research before making statements, I have taken the liberty to visit your page, and noted a quote from Thomas Jefferson. You may also be interested in another quote of his: "I never will, by any word or act, bow to the shrine of intolerance or admit a right of inquiry into the religious opinions of others."

  • Well, he was also a slave owner, so we already knew he wasn't perfect.

  • Jesus didn't exist. And if he did, then he must be very unhappy with christians. Christianity is only about hate and war and discrimination.

  • It is unfortunate that you are not familiar with the true teachings of Christianity. It is sad that so many call themselves Christians and yet hate cause war and discriminate. I would say that they are not fulfilling the commission that Christ taught.

Incidentaly, Jesus did exist, but you can deny him if you would like. Some day I believe you will meet him. Hopefuly this side of the Grave so that I can meet you in Glory.

  • Apparently, you are not familiar with the teaching of your own religion. Have you read the bible? Have you read about the god that constantly slaughtered Human beings? The god who ripped open the bellies of pregnant women and who ordered the genocide of many tribes? And your Jesus himself said that he did not come to change the old teachings - so he was also in support of rape and genocide. Read your bible, moron.

  • So, on one hand you say that "if he [existed], then he must be very unhappy with Christians", but then you say that "your Jesus himself... was in support of rape and genocide". So, since you think that Jesus would be "unhappy" with Christians as they are now, does that then mean you think Christians are doing a good job at displaying peace and love? As one who is criticizing another for inconsistencies in belief, it sounds like you yourself need to figure out where you stand.

  • Depends on which Jesus we're referring to, doesn't it? If we're referring to the Jesus of the bible, than he'd be very happy that christians are such bloodthirsty beasts .... if we're referring to gentle jesus, meek and mild that many christians believe him to be, than he'd be very unhappy with them.

In any case ... you sound like a moron by trying to apply logic to defend your belief in Bronze Age myths.

  • It's interesting to see that you're Canadian. Just the other day a Canadian was bashing Americans by saying that most of us are christian fanatics and that Canada is much more advanced and intelligent. I'll have to send your name to him as proof that insanity exists in Canada as well.

  • Why do folks like you always resort to calling people morons (and sometimes worse) when you find they disagree? Its not very open minded.

As for genocide, your understanding of the term is a misunderstanding of scripture, ultimately due to sin, death is what we all deserve, and death is what we will all ultimately get.

Finally, I would like to challenge you to find one instance where Christ, the God of the Bible condones or encourages rape. I am not aware of any instance in the Bible.

  • I find it easy to call you a moron because I have no respect for you. I have open-minded discussions and debates with rational and intelligent people, but not with morons who believe in talking snakes. It's impossible to have a rational discussion with a moron, so stop begging me to treat you equally.

As for understanding the definition of genocide - here is the definition from Merriam-Webster: "the deliberate and systematic destruction of a racial, political, or cultural group "

  • Since you think I am a moron there is no hope of reasonable discussion with you. Allow me to quote several statements in your own profile. "I believe that humankind is inherently good and that all of the world's problems are a direct result of religion and/or rampant capitalism... our closest relatives in the animal kingdom-the chimpanzee... Imagine what we could have accomplished if we were not still infected with the disease of religion." Go tell that to Travis. Was he religious?

  • That is the most asinine argument imaginable. LOL! What the hell does Travis have to do with our conversation?

You have shown one of two possible things here, at least. Either you're such a moron that you couldn't even understand my little profile blurb OR you did understand it, but you're trying to take 3 or 4 concepts from my blurb and mix them all up together - which would make you a lying bastard.

    Which is it?

  • Travis was the chimp whom of his own accord violently (without the influence of religion) ripped the woman in New England apart. You may recall the 911 audio that was recently all over the news.

Second, you have already labeled me a Moron, so I guess you already know the answer to your own question.

Third I am tired of this back and forth. I hope you find the peace you are looking for. I obviously am not contributing, so I will go my way and leave you alone.

  • "I believe that humankind is inherently good and that all of the world's problems are a direct result of religion and/or rampant capitalism." PERIOD!! AND THEN I GO ON TO A DIFFERENT IDEA - YOU MORON.

"our closest relatives in the animal kingdom-the chimpanzee" IN THIS PART OF MY BLURB I WAS MAKING REFERENCE TO HOW LITTLE DIFFERENCE THERE IS BETWEEN HUMANS AND APES GENETICALLY, AND HOW INCREDIBLY WONDEROUS IT IS THAT SUCH A SLIGHT DIFFERENCE WOULD ALLOW SUCH POTENTIAL IN HUMANITY - YOU MORON.

  • I agree with your statement (in all caps) Actually the Christian Bible addresses this, it is called Free will intellect and the ability to reason. Man kind was given the ability to reason when created by God. Where I do not agree with you is where Man who rejects God blames God for human evil. Mankind has developed evil of their own free will using this reason. If you blame God for this you blame God for giving mankind a free will. Of course you will undoubtedly call me a moron again for this.

  • You are absolutely pathetic. And by so blatantly cutting and pasting my comments out of order and out of context you have actually demonstrated one of the threats posed by the religious.

The religious will always resort to censorhsip, deception, subterfuge, and violence. I suppose I should thank you for making such a blatant demonstration.

  • First of all I did not censor anything. I did not block your comments, I did not do any violence to you, unless reading, cutting and pasting is violent. I encourage everyone to read your profile, that is not sensorship.

Second, I find it interesting that you are open to any philosophy but religion and refuse to accept any good in religion.

Third you don't know me, so how can you steriotype me based upon a few short comments on YouTube. To read your comments I must be the spawn of some demon.

  • In your bible, god orders the mass destruction of entire tribes and cities - murdering the men, women, and children, and even the animals. That is genocide.

    As for biblical rape:

And Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the women alive? ... Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves. -- Numbers 31:15-18

  • Numbers 31:15-18 may be speaking of wiping out a tribe in the land of Canaan. I will not argue that point. It is clear that there was a significant amount of killing going on that was ordered by God. Rape however was not ordered by God. These virgin women and girls were not captured to be sex slaves to be kept in rape rooms and brothels. They were instead kept alive to be integrated into society. Rape was not the intent of God and Jewish Law forbade this type of behavior.

  • Here are some examples of your god ordering the rape himself:

Their infants will be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses will be looted and their wives ravished - Isaiah 13:16

I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem to fight against it; the city will be captured, the houses ransacked, and the women raped. Half of the city will go into exile, but the rest of the people will not be taken from the city. - Zechariah 14:2

  • Arondeus, you are very quick to judge me and my belief in "bronze age myths" when you will see that nowhere in my previous post did I actually express any assertion of my own belief system. I am not convinced that you are as much a champion of 'open-minded discussion' as you delight in painting yourself.

  • No, I think you're confusing me with the voices of your imaginary friends.

  • Isaiah13:16 and Zechariah 14:2 are not examples of God encouraging rape, instead they are examples of God prophesying what will come against Israel for their wickedness. It is foretelling not that God ordered violence against Israel but instead that God allowed the coming punishment at the hands of other nations for Israels rebellion. These other nations were not knowledgeable to the Laws of God and therefore were brutal and violent.

  • You are being willfully blind. They only kept the young virgin girls alive - they murdered the other women. When an army murders everybody in a city EXCEPT the young virgin girls, the intent is clear.

  • In the Name of Jesus we put on the full armour of Christ in the name of Jesus and through His Blood Your children agree to bind up any curse, incantation, or tormenting spirit that is sent here to attack the redeemed. And in the name of Jesus we loose the Spirit of truth on those who are unredeemed. Lastly Lord we ask that you will bind up these evil spirits and cast them to uninhabitated places until the judgement. In the Precious Name of Jesus! Amen!

  • This song is so incredible:) the last verse brings me to tears it is so powerful!!!!!

  • may God bless u TheDarkLordLucifer ... though how much u dislike him but He still loves u ...Satan come here is to KILL TO STEAL AND TO DESTROY ! every single word he speaks is LIE ! awake !

  • if God no longer exists... then neither does satan. God created satan, so if you say God is no longer the ALL POWERFUL being that he is, and is in fact nonexistant, then neither is satan, and well, we are still here, so dude you gotta get your head on straight. He's obviously got you wrapped around his finger super tight. ITS SAD to see how lost some people are...

  • Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations. All they shall speak and say unto thee,"We thought surely you would triumph Satan, so how is it you're just like us now, weak and cast into chains?" Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the maggots cover thee.

  • ...you are a tool.

  • will definitely be praying for you. satan loses in the end... much like evil always does anyways. You know, the fairytale endings. satan has no power over Christ. but he does have the power to fool people unfortunately like you.

  • Good luck with that bud.

  • You won't even get to "enjoy" hell with him...you'll be alone. You poor deceived fool.

  • tdll ...you are a tool.

  • How you have fallen from heaven, Bright morning star, Cut down to the ground, More weak than all peoples! You it was who thought in our own mind: 'I shall scale the heavens; Above the stars of God I shall exalt my throne, So that I shall sit enthroned on the Mount of Assembly, In the utmost recesses of the North. I shall rise above the cloud-banks, I shall be like the Most High!' LOL, DREAM ON LUCIFER! Nay, but you shall be brought down to Sheol, to the utmost depths of the Pit.
  • Now Brother why would you post something so foolish in a video dedicated to God. You are loved and forgiveness is waiting with open arms for you. Take care .

  • I've listened to a lot of Christian songs, but this one in particular is one I like to listen to over and over, if I like a song enough, I'll listen to it over and over, this is just one of those few christian songs that I really like.

  • i would say that some believers do take scripture out of context, but i don't believe they are in support of hate crimes. i don't support them. my church certainly wouldnt. other believers i know wouldn't either. if 'believers,' TRUE believers made things up about minorities, then they are judging others and need to deal with God about it. We are called NOT to judge others. We are called to LOVE others, to serve others. Not to commit crimes against them.

  • Christians take the scripture out of context to hurt the children of God. They worship Christian evangelists who mislead them. Christians enjoy taking the scripture out of context to hurt minorities, making up lies about such minorities to raise fear of them, Christians have no moral values. Talk is cheap but their actions prove what their moral values are: hatred, lies, fear, exclusions, bigotry, hypocrisy. All Christians support hate crime.

  • I'm a Christian, and I don't do that. I love all people. People of all faith, and culture is welcome at at my church.

If you don't believe me, go to the nearest United Pentecostal Church. We love all people!

  • I don't know if this is a hook or not, but I'll bite. All Christians Support hate crimes? Like what. I am a Christian what hate crime do I support? I have no Moral values? What sin have I put upon you? What way have I wronged you? Scriptureplease? If I have I am sorry. I am very far from perfect. May the Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

  • man, you sound like you've being hurt by Christians. Remember, Christians are only regular people WHO TRY to be better, it's a process that they take. I'm not a Christian, but I do admire them cuz they have the guts to try to do good

  • May the LORD be the one to sit in the Judgement chair.

  • Thank you so much for this wonderful video. My heart goes out to the bereaved families of 9/11 and I beseech thee O Lord, those who know you not, draw them unto yourself.

    Michael
