Kang is playing a custom (single course, which means one string instead of the standard two strings )mandola, which is the next size up from a mandolin,(like viola is to violin).....but he has it capo-ed back down to the same tuning as a mandolin, unusual to say the least, generally frowned upon to use a capo on these instruments.....and the guy who made that mando(under the brand name RONO) took orders for instruments after gaining fame from SCI and pocketed the money and only delivered a few

But I had visions of the future and they are the new grateful dead to me,

This almost seems like a soundboard audio synced with the video. The audio is very high quality with little or no crowd noise. seems unlikely from a hand held video recorder. Nice sync btw if thats what you did. God I miss that feeling. When I'm riding the escalator to heaven, SCI will be playin for me.
