The true wealth of a nation is not money but its people and history. Greed has torn the heart out of this country. I always wonder if some of Ireland's great and good from times past were to see what has become of us.

James Connolly showed us that social class was not a barrier to greatness. The great only appear great because we are on our knees. Let us Rise!

I wouldn't find myself in her camp but that was a very good speech. Unlike others which I've heard she genuinely believed in what she was saying.

THERE IS SO MUCH IN THIS SPEECH. I RECORDED IT AND EVERY TIME I PLAY IT I HEAR SOMETHING ELSE .ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT STUFF. SHE ALWAYS KNEW WHAT SHE WAS TALKING ABOUT AND GETS BETTER.

I read a little bit of her testimony during the inquiry into Bloody Sunday...she has a quick wit in responding to questions...it was good! ... reminds me of answers given by Daniel Day-Lewis in "In the name of the father" when the Crown asks him if the court should believe him over the police and he responds: "Well I don't expect them to believe me once you're through with it, but it happens to be the truth!"

I saw her speak at an Easter commemoration in 1985- she was simply mesmerising.

absolutely not brainwashed, she has seen it all in front of her eyes, how the totalitarian system placed upon the people of Ireland, by the british, we all need people like her, to take away the rights of the politicians and not for the politicians to take from the people, after all they where put into government by the people, Bobby Sands(R.I.P) all governments should take note to her words.
