Was that trip all on one firing? Certainly went a long way before the pressure began to drop. I would expect to fire an engine this size once or twice a circuit.
As you suggest, I normally fire a few times during each circuit. On this occasion I had built the fire up well before setting off. I could not fire whilst running as I was using my right hand to steady the camera which was mounted on a flimsy bracket.

How was the automatic pump responding, I guess it would be on most of the time working hard like this.

Yes, I do find the electric pump starts up fairly soon after commencing a run and keeps going thereafter.

What is Chaloners cylnder bore,
It does not give the cylinder bore size for chaloner on the Maxitrak website.

I have not measured them but it looks to be around 1" (or 25mm). Despite the small size it will pull two adults up the gradients on the club track.
