theres this shampoo called Mane 'n Tail, and it makes your hair grow really fast! My friend uses it, and her hair grow like 4 inches in a month. I've been using it for about a week, and i've noticed a huge difference in the length. It does have sulfates though, but no parabens. You can get it at Wal-mart or Meijer for like five bucks...

Exercise does work. During cross country season, since my hair is always up... My hair grows super duper fast. When I got my hair cut my hair stylist told me that the more your hair is UP, the more it grows.

The reason why hot temperatures make your nails feel longer in the shower is because heat expands surface area. It's also the reason why your feet are bigger in the summer than the winter. I don't think that necessarily helps with hair growth though.

You realize that hair is DEAD cells. As in, you want the cells in your scalp to die to have it as hair.

Hair is considered dead as the only living part is the follicle, however it is not composed of dead cells (rather filamentous biomaterial) and you don't want the cells in your scalp to die (Unless they are unhealthy or old) as that would not contribute to hair growth only dandruff.

You are right that hair is considered dead though because it isn't biochemically active.

My hair has grown quite a lot recently, I have been massaging the scalp as Bubz advised and blow drying my hair at a low temperature while using hair straighteners a maximum of twice per week. A recent trip to the hairdresser confirmed that my hair is in better condition than ever before and the growth is impressive. I'm pretty sure its because I am a vegetarian and was diagosed with a illness so I can no longer take any vitamins or suppliments like I used to.
