I bought a box brownie no2 model f made in toronto i saw 1 on ebay they wanted £75 for it an i only payed £6 so i think im onto a winner. the other thing i saw your second camera was very similar but it had more writing on the inside of the back plate, also my landscape mirror and glass was missing is yours to. any info gratefully received cheers.
@atomicpuppet Correction: I don't have several of those Targets but I've got several box cameras. With me right now on my desk is actually the Target you have, hehe, & an Agfa Synchro Box & I've got a No. 3 Brownie made out of wood which STINKS :/ Any tips?
@atomicpuppet YAY! Or you could've gone online? Hehe. Actually this dude has like all these manuals online in PDF format, look up Butkus. Boo, no roll. Ohhh I just recently got an Ansco Flash Clipper, Google that & visit the first website, someone else found a film inside their camera :D
@janepeepshow Actually yes I did figure out how to get it open, someone who commented earlier told me how. I was hoping there would be a roll of film in there but there wasn't.
Regarding the hole in the Brownie No. 2A, I'm not sure if it's actually a tripod mount, and I don't believe the manual mentions anything. However my 2A came with a very thin washer and a small bolt that went into the side.
Just picked up a brownie no. 2 F yesterday. :) The hole on the bottom of yours is to mount on a tripod, and I believe the one that you're not sure about is a brownie no. 2 portrait. The tree in your viewfinder is probably just the paint on the back of the mirror peeling and chipping. Mine had the same thing and I just bought some 1"x1" craft mirrors and cut them to fit. Can't wait to do some street photography and landscape photography with it. :D
What an amazing collection of cameras, I am a veteran musician just getting into photography, make sure you label your cameras at the antilosta website just in case you loose one one day, I have all my valuables labeled with antilosta and recently had my Nikon D3000 returned back to me after having lost it away from home in one of my gigs.

actually, the flash model hawkeye came out around 1951, but the original came in 1949.

@androo7673 You have a really good point there, perhaps it isn't for a tripod...hmmm..
I wonder what that bolt is for...

The camera that you couldn't find a name on is in fact a No. 2 Cartridge Hawk-Eye Model C made from 1926-1928. The original list price was $1.00.

Beautiful cameras. I am a photographer from Boston and recently took the plunge into ditching my digital slr for manual film cameras. Best decision.
