Obviously convertibles won't be as safe as regular sedans/coupes. Most other American cars have some of the best safety ratings, right up there with Volvo.

He hit the airbag head on (as he should), he rebounds off centered from the airbag, but he has the headrest to stop whiplash. Please watch more carefully next time. >_>

This vehicle has absolutely no rollover protection. Let's be forward and true here: If you rollover, you basically will be decapitated. I am very furious at American auto makers because they never put ANY sort of rollover protection in their cars. Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, and Saab have their rollover safety down path. Why can't American cars? Point is, I will never drive an American car until they have as much safety as new German or Swedish cars have today.

@powerPT no actually my toyota camry hybrid is crap. it's an '07 & has been back to the dealer for repairs more than 7 times. cracked engine block; steering wheel recall, accelerator pedal recall, brake noises; power outlet/cig lighter failure; key fob failure; belt noises. & the things inside the cabin like the side airbag cover, & sun visors keep falling down. only gets 31 mpg when they said it would get 40 mpg, & the car feels anemic most of the time.

Yep, very poor. The dummy completely missed the airbag and the frame of the windsheild almost caved, HOWEVER, when you purchase a car that literally cost 5 grand to make that says alot for its development. We tend to forget why vehicles like Benz, Beemers, and the Japs cost so much and generally beleive its extorting us with gimmicks and options but its mainly over DEVELOPMENT.

The dummy is 1,75 cm high and the head of the dummy touched the A-pillar of the car. Head acceleration from this hit was low. I am 1,98. I would be dead in case of an accident in this car.
