what are you using on a spin rod? I was up there the other day and didnt catch anything. I was using a fake egg with some weight about 2-3 ft above it. I had no luck. It was my 1st time ever there. Could you help by any chance?
just got back from here a couple days ago.....we were just under the town pool...so right around the staircase pool...for steelhead....did you hook this fish in the mouth? Im told they don't bite and most people snag them? I really hope this isnt the case bc i refuse to snag a fish...what do they hit on.?..someone gave me a glow bug this weekend and told me the salmon would hit it in the fall? tell me a story here, MT
HA! I just read my old comment here..."i refuse to snag a fish" in all honesty i have lifted quite a few kings in pulaski since then...i tried and tried to get them to take but no dice...so im a gentlemen snagger i guess! ive been known to rip a bit.

they dont bite... The only way is to get a male pissed off enough by putting the fly or what ever it is rigth inf ront of its face.

@RebubulaXsea -Keep swing'n you fly in front of em, they are aggressive they do stike flies and spoons, and they certainly do inhale egg patterns!
