I'm almost positive most professional boxers could take out an MMA fighter pretty fast.. Forget about groundwork or whatever it's called.The other guy would be knocked out before he had a chance.I "sparred" my cousin who had been doing MMA for just as much time as I had been boxing and I had to go easy on him because he couldn't get one clean hit or a take down for that matter,and he's older than me by 2 years.Boxing takes more precision and strategy than brute force. If we were to judge purely by win loss records then yes that would make Rock the best but I recognize comparable levels of competition also or else Larry Holmes should have been recognized as the 2nd greatest of all time once he made it to 48-0. But he wasn't.

Joe Frazier's bore into you style and lay you flat hook is kind of a 70's Marciano and Frazier outweighted Rock by about 30-35 pounds. And we KNOW what Foreman did to Smoking Joe.
