Why does it seem like all these folks are simply ignoring Peter Schiff. It looks like they all are together. Except Peter. He is the only one who is operating out of the box.
Can't wait until they raise the interest rate to 20%. 5 Trillion (External Debt) X .2 = 1 Trillion. That's only $3300 more for everyone per year in just interest payments.
In the 70s Americans owned all of the US debt so the Americans cashed the cheques.
It's nice how the interviewers interrupt all the time. I am glad we are all talking about the Federal Reserve, it's the monster that has created all of this. The U.S. taxpayer is footing the bill for all of this. I've written letter after letter to my representatives about the Federal Reserve and they REFUSE to respond to me. they are corrupt in perpetuating this unconstitutional system. True capitalism ended in 1913.
True capitalism ended when world Govts allowed fractional reserve banking. Without it central banking and our banking system couldn't exist. Govt, the Fed and banks create money by accepting debt as money (securities paid for by taxpayers). FRB further inflates the money supply by the multiplier effect. Loans made to the public are then packaged into securities for wealthy hedge funds. If you get rid of FRB and fiat currency, bankers' power would shift to the public and the free market.
I don't see why Bush's response to the crisis is socialism. I mean after the US has fought wars to protect free markets. To start regulating all the markets seems incongruent.
People should start calling him comrad Bush after all the state nationalizations and interventions .
I've noticed on some other vids that the socialists/communists are trying to spin this this crisis into a "see we told you capitalism was bad! We need pro-consumer socialism instead of pro-business socialism!" false argument.
To say that we're merely living history would be a gross understatement.
Anything that has central banking is not capitalism; it's "socialism for the rich" as Jim Rogers would say. Sure there must be certain rules - though few as possible - to capitalism but a central bank should never be involved. Thomas Jefferson and Andrew Jackson hated the idea of a national bank. Fundamental ideas that are always right should never change. Example: strict interpretations to the Constitution, and natural rights as human beings derived from nature.
Good post, but your thinking that our "natural rights" come from some mystical natural source.
---------
I've always thought it very ironic and even upsetting that we would put Jefferson's and Jackson's image on our central bank notes. If ever men were to turn over in their graves, this would be a prime example. Lincoln and Grant deserve to be on our FRNs on the other hand.
Well, for the natural rights thing I am a Christian but haven't gone to church in a year or so. Some Christian I am. But I do believe in a God and that our freedoms come as gifts that are inherent and eternal. If I'm speaking to an atheist, I just argue that you are already free because if animals are free then that means humans are free. Something like that. Jefferson and Jackson wouldn't like their faces on federal notes, I agree. Maybe if they had a picture of their ass would they consent.
We ether have God given/created rights that are unalienable, or we don't have anything but what we can obtain by force, vote or purchase.
Now, I was too harsh on your use of the term "natural rights", as this has been used traditionally to try to describe unalienable human rights, but it's has been a bad mistake I believe to leave God overtly out of the picture. Locke should have kept to a, clear and simple, God endowed rights description of the origin or human rights...
...Without the historical conviction that our nation had, that the God of the Bible is the Creator of both nature and man, our founders never would have been comfortable using only the term "natural rights."
Today our culture is completely different from our Founding Ara. Libertarians have little or no problem using a term that can be interpreted apart from a sovereign creator.
I've said too much on a topic that I've read on too little. We are largely in agreement anyway.

SOCIALISM is what CAUSED this.

There are no arguments here brother. I'm at the opposite end of the millionaire spectrum and agree with you 110%. :D
IMO, voluntarism and anarcho-capitalism look VERY appealing to me right now.
These INSANE people can keep this endless cycle of "consented" force and fraud for themselves! I quit! lol :D

i love how people blame 'capitalism' for our current problems. BULLSHIT.
ralphhumacho 3 years ago 3
Now their argument against Peter is that we are alright and "going" to be a bull market because we are America.
Capitalism disappeared in 1913.
mustangjake2073 3 years ago 5
Which underscores the fact that their argument is flat out INSANE.
