@slickshow hi if i buy the orange steelseries siberia v2 and the steelseries Cross Platform AudioMixer will it work for the ps3? (i use my ps3 with a hdmi cable) NEED ANSWER FAST
@TheCatcher1207 I don't own an Xbox. There are three designed to work with it: the SteelSeries Spectrum 4xb, SteelSeries Spectrum 5xb, and SteelSeries Spectrum 7xb.
I really love the review, i was wondering would this connect to my macbook?
Would i have to spend an extra $40 getting the Imic Griifin, to make my USB port a Headphone/Mic port. Due to Macbook's only having Headphone in port.
@Chaspudz96 The Siberia v2 connects to standard 3.5 mm, and 1/8-inch, headphone and microphone ports. You will need a USB soundcard (like the he SteelSeries Siberia USB Soundcard) so you can use the microphone...
@slickshow My Macbook has the 3.5mm Headphone port and built in Mic, so may just use the headset for audio and not voice, but is it better to get the V2 with a Mic? Or the one without a Mic? I mean is the sound quality the same?
@Chaspudz96 While I was doing some research to answer your question, I found that Steelseries now has a "SteelSeries Siberia v2 USB headset" package: the v2 COMES WITH a USB soundcard! (Nice.) Also, take a look at the SteelSeries 3H...
@bdcmwow For home, I suggest the Siberia v2. But...if you might be using them in a noisy area, and if you want/need something more sturdy and portable, consider the 5Hv2.
"Siberia V2 works with the PS3!...To use your microphone only: Headset -> USB card -> PS3 To use your sound only: Headset -> 3.5mm green (sound) -> TV headphone jack To use both microphone and sound: 3.5mm red (microphone) -> USB Soundcard -> PS3 3.5mm green (sound) -> 3.5mm extension cable -> TV headphone jack Then go on accessory settings > Audio units > and change the sound output to standard, not the headset..."
(FWIW) Today I put the headset on after midnight, and haven't taken them off at all...and it's almost noon. Yes, they are THAT comfortable. I guess I can wear them until...I "need" to remove them. And the marathon test continues...
Really great video! I will totally buy the Siberia V2 headset because they seem awesome. I don't like the idea of a clip-mic which is why I buy V2. And I really, really like the look of them!
I got the 5hv2 they are the better for ingame sounds such as footsteps, alarms, gunshots etc. Siberia is better for music but not as good for gaming as 5hv2..
Will the Siberia V2 work with a laptop? My laptop has 3 jacks. One black, pink and one green. Black is for audio and pink for mike. But can I just plug it in directly????
Siberia V2 works with the PS3! Thumbs up! This is from a mail i got from SteelSeries: To use your microphone only: Headset -> USB card -> PS3 To use your sound only: Headset -> 3.5mm green (sound) -> TV headphone jack To use both microphone and sound: 3.5mm red (microphone) -> USB Soundcard -> PS3 3.5mm green (sound) -> 3.5mm extension cable -> TV headphone jack Then go on accessory settings > Audio units > and change the sound output to standard, not the headset. Good Luck !
Plz help me guys. Will the siberia v2 work with the ps3 if i use Them with a siberia USB soundcard ?
Or do i have to buy the black ones that already has USB ? I really sant the white ones. Plus that i could use them with my phone since eget have Jacks.
So you know the steelseries siberia v2 (the one with the microphone inside the headset) would you recomend these for gameing would you think this headset would be the best out of all the rest for profesional gameing? (typicaly world of warcraft if you know what that internet game is)
Of all that I have had an opportunity to review so far, the v2 was the best for professional gaming. (I'm hoping to try more models from SteelSeries, and headsets from from other manufacturers as well.)
@slickshow and would you say the mic is better quality than the rest? by the way sorry im asking so much questions i just want to make sure im buying something good so i dont waist even more money buying headsets
Do they perform well with music? What I mean with this question is do they have good lows, mids or highs? Does it have a clean, deep bass or something? They do state that it supports 7.1 surround sound. Does that mean that the surround sound is applied to the songs?
I am comparing this with the Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Solo and I am scanning some reviews to see which one is the better headphone.
@slickshow mine is without usb sound card. guess it is faulty headset then or what :/ i guess gotta return it but its didnt had any sound difference then my £15 sony headphones ~
@715stunna715 {lol} No...I like it...and need it: Andy, the other member of TechtalkRadio, is now in possession of the V2 (and I'm not so sure I'll ever again see it).
Got my on now, 100% worth it.. sound is amazing (music and gaming): great base and detail, amazingly comfy and fits well. Build quality is good, but as with everything that is plastic it feels a little cheap. A Good buy!
@MascoNL I want to do much more, but I haven't been in an environment where I can produce as much content as I want to. I'm still trying to get funds to branch-out, though...
@maxenP Thanks...I have to confess, though: it's a mid-riff...I was in a local comic shop, saw it, and had to have it. (I wear it over a black A-style undershirt...I love that shirt.)
@uBoonana i personally wouldnt recommend the neckband.. if you have a small head after you've used it for a while its really loose and annoying to keep sliding back onto your ears
Keeping in mind that most of my life has been spent on-air in radio station studios, and in DJ booths in nightclubs, some makes and models can be uncomfortable when used over long periods of time. I don't remember any specific makes and models that I have used, but I remember it happening...

hi! just wanna know it the Siberia V2 has smaller/lower guides compared to V1, i mean the two metal/plastic connecting the two cans, i dunno what to call em. and does the V1 really better for music even if it lacks the bass?
@swezacattac SteelSeries has a USB adapter...it's on their website (YouTube won't accept URLs in comments)...it's "The SteelSeries Siberia USB Soundcard".

I don't understand your first question enough to give you the answer, but...
In my opinion, the V1 is better for music.

Because it is an "open" headphone, sound waves are able to pass through allowing for much cleaner and clearer audio quality.
