I loved watching this show. It was more efficient, fast, and almost purely about the food.

But you could definitely see that he was different from other hosts. Alot more depth, wittier and cynical.

This was also one of my favorite episodes. These Russians are one tough bunch .

There are fun things to do in Russia. Most people work very hard and don't go out a lot. The funnest things me and my family did was go to a ballet theater, movies, and toy stores. ok, it's fun for kids at least.

Now get this: anyone who makes critical remarks about Anthony Bourdain needs to be aware of his twisted humor. The actual facts are not important in his shows. Just enjoy them and try not to be offended by anything he says or does. He is truly different. An acquired taste perhaps.

I totally agree. You should see the way that he treats asian cultures. It's so obvious that he feels out of place in Russia. Check out his episode about vietnam and then rewatch this one.

Yes. This show was a couple years before No Reservations began. He had a falling out with Food Network apparently, and moved to the Travel Channel.
