Most of these people clearly don't understand the difference between "most famous in every country EVER", or just have absolutely no knowledge of the world outside of America. In all of history, you think someone like Rosa Parks is best known? Go to some little village in the most remote parts of India and Vietnam, etc, and ask an 8 year old who that is. They will have NO clue. That's the real test. Realistic: 1. Jesus 2. Mohammed 3. Hitler 4. Einstein 5. Genghis Khan (1.4 billion chinese know!)

About the top 2 I'm pretty sure. M.Jackson, M.Jordan, M.Ali may be very famous in the US, but outside the US they aren't nearly as famous as those two:

With all due respect, but frankly, I don't think there will be any Americans in the top 5 worldwide; not even in the top 10 (unless you consider Einstein an American, which he wasn't). Fame doesn't last at the same level. Plato, Ghandi, Caesar, Mohammed, Einstein, etc are still famous and much more well known worldwide.
