Some of these "Shindig!" final credit jams are really fabulous, like this one. This makes a 1950s hot song into a 1960s hot song. The backup musicians and singers, not to mention those "girl-can't-help-it" go-go dancers, really add to the enjoyment. And yeah, I agree, the Everlys didn't usually sound so hard-rocking as this, and it suits them very well.
'64, the stones were on this show too. british invasion under full swing. time for americans to find out about their own blues tradition. stones, zepp, mayal etc.
this video makes me completely forget the original recording of this song not to bother about the screaming and noise, wow....What incredible performer they are. their vocals are gorgeous here, just fell in crazy love with the high and strong vocals of Don :D
I love little richard and his original version but the everly brothers is better. It has more groove jeje!

Too good. Fantastic. Little Richard is great, I like his version a lot, but these guys are just so damn good.

Sounds like good old James Burton has lifted one of his solos from an earlierRicky Nelson track- he has added a bit at the end!

Sort of a Beatles experience with all the girls - The Everlys' astounding voices pierced right through the screaming, though.
