@smallyangler123; It seems to depend on the likes and dislikes of the one drooling over the machine.Some consider a classic to be the car that had all the "perks" in its day.Like this impala had an"SS"model that housed a 409 and 4 speed but;There was the impala that just had a 283 and a 3 speed column shift.Some would call all the impala,s classics but some just called the SS models the classic. What do you think smally?

Oh my gosh...that car was a total load of grooviness...yessss...ohhh yesss.Did the 64 come with a 409 option...i should knkow this..im ancient.Well.....not too old but i should know...its been so long that most of us oldies have drooled over these machines.

Indeed, all of the restoration books i've seen sell spatter trunk paint. Some places even have the reproduction silver/gold paint used on the '62 409 valve covers.

That looks more like Honduras Maroon not Palomar Red and the paint in the truck is called spatter paint not splatter paint...This company doesn't know much about car.IMO

It's not considered "Palomar Red" it's "Palomar Maroon Metallic" by GM paint codes, but trust me it is Palomar.
