The first 2/3 of the film is filled with pointless red herrings to make the twist ending surpising. So why in the hell would they reveal the twist in the trailer? That not only makes the first half even more pointless but it also makes it boring because you now know its pointless at the same time.

This movie has a problem that every horror movie seems to have. They confuse loud noises that startle you with something that is actually scary. Ominous music followed by a tap on the shoulder by a friend. Just awful cliches that every lackluster horror movie seems to contain. Not to mention a trailer that gives away the whole plot.

This is such a great film. You gotta admit, Robert Zemeckis came a long way from directing Romancing the Stone to making this. It's a shame all he'll be remembered for is Forrest Gump and the Back to the Future trilogy. I really like him.
This movie is really scarry yeah... But its not just scary. Its a very good story to. This movie totally scared the shit out of me. Its scary when it should be, not crowded with scary things all the damn time. Thats why I really recomend this video. Maybe you wont get scared but even some of my friends that doesnt get scared of a shit got a little scared when they watched this, some didnt. But if you dont get scared, there is still a very good story worth to see!

@DCRuben I too have to say that THE OTHERS was quite terrifying. It disturbed me so much that I've only watched it once! Draculas, werewolves, Frankenberry, slasher films...none of those terrify me. Ghost movies on the other hand, make the hairs on my arms stand straight up. And I must say that Michelle Phiffer and Amber Valetta were quite easy on the eyes!

Unless, of course, you see the trailer. Stupid Zemeckis, thinking everyone -wants- the whole movie spoiled for them before they see it. The twists in this trailer are only shown after more than an hour of misdirection that make up the bulk of the movie - the one plot point not spoiled here is pretty obvious once you realize what else is going on.
I love more then one person obviously, I mean I love my family.... and then I love Celine Dion, Michelle Pfeiffer or Liam Neeson those are the people I look up to.

This film reminded me of those epic Hitchcock movies.
The best part is that you never knowhow and when the film ends, and you can't anticipate the next move or reaction.

Unless, of course, you see the trailer. Stupid Zemeckis, thinking everyone -wants- the whole movie spoiled for them before they see it. The twists in this trailer are only shown after more than an hour of misdirection that make up the bulk of the movie - the one plot point not spoiled here is pretty obvious once you realize what else is going on.
