Is there any great music in my entire lifetime that the great Leon Russell wasn't involved with in one way or another? What an amazing man; what an amazing talent. I am SO grateful to Elton John for helping get Leon the long overdue recognition he deserved by getting him inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
This is from a tv series recorded at CHCH studios in Hamilton, Canada in December 1983. I was the recording engineer on the series, which was called "In Session" (that's me in the beige shirt.) We also taped episodes with Stevie Ray Vaughn and Albert King; Emmylou Harris with Rodney Crowell; BB King with Larry Carlton, : Johnny Winter with Dr. John. Some songs from all those shows are on Youtube already.
@jarac1357 They go back to at least 1965 on the sidebar SHINDIG! #22 (1965) - [3of7] Also seen on a seperate clip - JAMBALAYA - ON THE BAYOU - LEON RUSSELL - (02/03/1965) - HQ
@jeffa423 Have problems with my VCR - it's on an NTSC tape from USA and I'm from Europe! Bought many years ago a US video recorder but now it's broke.

A studio musician with a voice like that? Can you imagine the expressions when he started to sing?

@kindnessnfriendship Anybody who's done any research will know that Leon was actually Elvis hence the heavy disguise
