Ah, yes. Back when they really knew how to write catchy commercial jingles. Seems like it was just yesterday, sometimes. "Cause if I were an Oscar Meyer wiener, everyone would be in love with me."
Remember the early '70's ad for Oscar Meyer "1883" brand franks, where the underlying theme music was this song played ragtime on stride piano?
Wow, you just jogged my memory, I an 29 and remember having a baking soda submarine, i assume it was a cereal box toy. It had to have been in the early 80's. I wonder if they still made them then,
@BlazikenOWNZ He did an excellent job. It's a brand and advertising icon. When you see one on the interstate, you can't help but smile.

Who remembers the 1992 ad where we hear a Wienermobile honking out the signature song, followed by three low-pitched honks???

I didn't have the Sub, but I do remember "Flippy the Frogman" that did the same thing.

Now, for the truly surreal, an ad where the guy driving the weinermobile rools down the window and say, "Pardon me -- Do you have any Grey Puopon?"
Never happened, but would have made a good ad.
And I remember the subs...
