  • He swung that around like a champ

  • Now that is a good pilot. Too bad he wasn't aboard the Costa Concordia.

  • That's some pretty snazzy driving! 10/10!

  • LIKE A BOSS!

  • i worked on a cruise ship and i have seen many things that i think are amaizing , and this video is how u see it , these days on sea u need alot of precizion

  • Celebrity Cruises is amazing!

  • Couldn`t really tell how big the ship was until it was heading out. That`s one captain who knows his ship.

  • lol you can even see the officers in the bridge of the RCCL ship just watchig

  • ummm.... this is a near-hit, not a near-miss. a near-miss is when two objects actually hit, as in they nearly missed each other, but did actually hit. if the two objects nearly hit each other, and don't actually hit, then it's a near-hit. therefore, this is a near-hit.

  • Give that man a cigar!

  • Amazing it looks alot closer looking at it from the viewing angle of the video what a brilliant piece of manoeuvring from the pilot.

  • @hoppy82 You are right, our cameras compress depth of field making everything look a lot closer. However, when you take the width of that basin and subtract the width of Oasis and the length of Constellation... not a lot of wiggle room! Over the last couple of years, most departures from that berth happened AFTER the berth 18 (Oasis) vessel had already left.

  • @hoppy82 you mean captain

  • @edwin4362 As far as I understood its the pilot that navigates big ships away from dockside through local waters and into deeper water the pilot then disembarks, and the captain takes over.

  • @hoppy82 Yep! But not controls.

  • @hoppy82 is that true?

  • did the same thing on the Navigator of the seas in Barcelona, arriving and leaving, amazing! and it's actually the harbor pilot giving the instructions to the ships crew.

  • did the same thing on the Navigator of the seas in Barcelona, arriving and leaving, amazing!

  • Skilled Captain

  • Azipod Propellors are ftw

  • I want this captain

  • I don't think there was anything that they haven't done before. Data was installed to ships computer and it counted that there was enough space, as you can see in this video.

  • Sure it was close enough, but its not feet like some people seem to think. The angle is all wrong for perspective.

  • You got to give credit to the navigation crew of the Celebrity Constellation for knowing their ship. It does look very close, you can see people walking around on the bridge wing of the Oasis to make sure all is good.

  • lol the Celebrity boat looks like a gondola compared to the Oasis...

  • someone on the celebrity must have had a video camera. Come on load the video on youtube someone.

  • just by looking at people at celebrity cruises vessel, you can tell it was close=)

  • You really can't tell how close they are from that camera angle.

  • WOW! That was close!
