I owned a Flip MinoHD 2nd generation and loved it, but I realized that with the price, you can buy much better pocket camcorders for much cheaper. I bought a Samsung HMX-E10...a camera that is very under the radar, but it is much better than the Flip cams...that is just my opinion, but I understand why people like the Flip cams.
I got this yesterday as a christmas present and it was perfect! It feels light, you can hold it easily and its real good quality! It comes in a box, but comes with a case that can be easily carried, with my old camera I had to keep rushing with my memory card, but its so easy! I touch of a button and it flips the usb out. Charging is great too, no wires cluttering the place! I would recomend this to anyone who wouldnt know how to use fancy buttons or anything. Its basicly, record, zoom, play.
The Vado has a lower video quality than the Flips. The Mino is better for carrying and is lighter, but if you want better quality, get the Ultra. But, the Vado is cheaper, so its up to you decide: Price, quality or portability?
if u want something that u will be taking every where, get the mino hd, if u just like to make videos, get the ultra hd, i suggest u get a flip and not the vado

When are you people going to get it.. HD is mostly a big gimmick of wording by Commercial Companies to make a buck. Whats the Point if you get HD... When you upload it to Youtube its compressed to something that is even less of aquality than VGA... On the web you will never see "Actual HD!" No such thing on the web. The files file size of full HD is huge.. Not for web bandwith.
Actually, you can just export the video from Flipshare to somewhere on your computer like your desktop, then upload it from the desktop. That should give it the HD capability.

The Flip Mino HD totally sucks hard!
The Flipshare software freezes up, and I cant make a movie!
Flip support ignored me, after more emails they lied to me about a "patch" upgrade, and now they are totally ignoring me again
I HATE THIS HORRIBLE PRODUCT!

Flipshare doesn't support HD for some reason. You need to use another Movie editor to get the HD.
