  • Great idea!! I can't wait to try it. :-D What are your thoughts on Kombucha Tea?

  • @RevJoshua I drink it very rarely, when I have a craving for carbonation. This isn't the video I meant...there is an updated version I think it better the title is (Ask a Crystal Child: raw vegan cheese/kale chips/tacos

  • @Bananimalrecords Oh yes ok! I was going to watch that one as well. :) I've noticed that the Kombucha has done wonders for my detox. I can really feel it working because I actually have a little bit of a herxheimer reaction when I drink it a couple days in a row.

  • watching you enjoy your lunch made me wanna go for a raw vegan diet.....hmm..perhaps i will :)

  • Great vid !! and to all those asking about the bledtec blender ...it ROCKS !!! I LOVE my blendtec - best investment I ever made !!!! I blends ANYTHING !!!!!

  • wanted to also say on a more personal note that I just watched many of your videos and I feel what you are saying about food, I have never loved food and no I do not have an eating disorder but I feel what you are saying is possible.

Always loved "energy" instead, I have found in my life that has fueled me the most and had one experience as an example where I profoundly lived off that for days.

    Best wishes in your transitions!

  • @lukehard242 the blendtec can puree a cell phone, nuts are cake for it. It is worth it's weight in gold, it's the jaguar of blenders.Food processor is nice, it makes a good nut paste, blendtec takes it to the next level, more like a creme. You can also freeze fruit, throw it in the blendtec and make icecream. Careful with cashews, most on the market are not truly raw. There is a layer of toxic goo inside the shell so most company flash cook them to destroy it so they can easily shell them(cont)

  • @Bananimalrecords I just wanna say that your words have made a difference. Your wisdom and using my intuition (primarily) have steered me away from raw cashews based on your insight. I haven't bought blendtec yet, HOWEVER got my brother to get it and he loves it and is eating healtheir raw foods (who isn't into "raw" so YAY).

do you think raw pistachios are truly raw, or which nuts are and are not?

  • @lukehard242 there are raw pistachios, but you have to get them from a raw food company that is very intent about getting their nuts truly raw. Almonds are pasterized, cashews are cooked to get out of the shell, and peanuts are plain bad and never raw...look at a place like "raw food world com" and use the link on my website "ra crystal palace com" (replace with the dot to make a link)to order from there...all their nuts are raw and they have nuts you've never even heard of.

  • @Bananimalrecords I know about peanuts, yikes! it's funny I have seen ads lately trying to say how they have more "antioxidants" than brocolli , ya like that is going to let people buy them!

Thanks for your advice and I know about raw food world but wanted to get your intuition.

One day if we all live without food, that would be swell. Anything is possible.

  • @lukehard242 to handshell cashews take a lot of careful patience so truly raw cashews cost a lot more money. Try companies like Navitas or RawFoodWorld for good sources. Cashews have too much sugar for me and the fat sugar combo makes me break out but they when I first went raw I loved making recipes with them. I found that for me the macadamia nut is the most tolerable and I can't process most nuts...and only by soaking and fermenting the macadamia nuts and sunflower seeds can I squeak by.

  • @Bananimalrecords Thanks for your valuable info! I only eat cahsews once a week uf that, I too prefer sunflower seeds and almonds...though in truth I don't love food.

  • sorry it's just I notice in most videos they speed up time of how long they process it in blender (due to noise and time?) I don't need a formula I just need to know will work and not kill the blender since it is quite an investment for blendtec of $450+, however if it truly works for food processor tasks as well, it is worth it, esp on raw foods.

Thank you for your help and listening.

  • thanks for this recipe, I made my own variation of this recipe yesterday, I liked what you said about creativity and the Canvas, here is my recipe! 1 cup raw cashews, 1 red pepper, bit of salt, pinch of pepper, small amount of cayenne pepper. Taste so good, shared it with non-raw friend and she loved it!

I made my in food processor but can you please tell me is it hard for blendtec to mix the nuts? Tried calling blendtec and they seem unclear.

p.s. love how this is oil free

  • This is sooooooo! Good I just made some thanks!!!!

  • Niceness!!!

  • I'll give you some nut cheese...

  • ooooohhh love the pepper plant! <3

  • I think i'm going to attempt to make raw cheezeits now o_o

  • mmm mmmm mmmm
