  • Epicness

  • Congrats you just got a subscriber because that was REALLY good it was the same pitch and everything YOU GOT SKILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @TheWachong Thanks! I hope that I can find time to make some future videos!

  • How many rupees does an ocarina cost sir.

  • @AlmiosTheVoice It depends on the quality of ocarina that you want to purchase. But they typically range from next to nothing, to around 1336 rupees to 4454 rupees. Or you can really go all out on a triple ocarina and spend around 13363 to 22272 rupees!

  • Good work

    A little airy :[

is it ceramic or plastic ocarina?

  • I didnt know there was a saria song muslim edition :O

  • Looks mroe likea tricked out whistle xD I would only get that to playt hat song. Lol

  • Beast. ಠ_ಠ

  • sound a little airy

  • @CAdude86 It's an Ocarina, what did you expect?

  • I know why it didn't sound good because the orcarina is plastic but u still did awesome :)

  • lol i didn't realize so much fingerwork went into the ocarina. I just thought you pressed the c-pad and A buttons

  • @MSunflower1991 Yeah, it's a common misconception. Link had it easy!

  • Nearly perfect =)

  • Too airy...

  • hi. Im thinking about actually buying an ocarina and im just wondering, how long did it take you to be able to play that?

  • Well, it didn't take long to be able to play the song, but to play it well, it takes a bit of practice. It depends on how hard you practice a particular song, but I think people should try to spend a week on a song if they want to play it well.

Back in high school, we would practice songs for many weeks before performing a concert. I haven't put that much effort into my videos, but if you really want them to be perfect, you probably should.

  • so, just to be certain, how long did it take you when you first got an ocarina before you considered yourself to be intermediate?

  • Well, it wasn't really long at all. I had already had several years of experience on the alto saxophone when I first got my ocarina, so once I learned the fingerings, I felt intermediate.

The diatonic fingerings were quick to learn, but it took a few days to memorize the full chromatic fingerings.

As for Saria's Song itself, it didn't really take long to learn, except that I did practice the ending for about a week first if I remember correctly.

  • @Turbo852 massive respect dude. i love zelda, and this is epic.

  • @Turbo852 I recommend seeing which notes make up Saria's Song and then associate them with your type of Ocarina.

  • @HalfJawArbiter166 I'm not quite sure what you mean by this actually.

If you are referring to why the ending of my version sounds a bit different from how some other people play it, that is because I chose to play the oboe part at the end of the song instead of continuing with the ocarina part. I did this because I liked it better that way.

  • @Turbo852 I didn't say that. See, every C-Button is a note, and the notes can be played. Like:

    Saria's song: The buttons: Down-C, Right-C, Left-C, Down-C, Right-C, Left-C.

    The notes: F, A, B, F, A, B.

Then you can learn many songs, from Zelda or not.

  • @HalfJawArbiter166 Yes, this is common knowledge for those who have played Ocarina of Time or Majora's Mask. Did you know that you can even play notes other than those by using R and Z and the control stick to modify the notes as well? This gives you many more notes allowing you to play quite a few more songs! There are people who have made videos of in game playing of other songs using this method.

  • Thanks for the idea to post a video of my Night ocarina, I used your fingerings here to play Saria's song. Arigato!

  • how much does that cost and where did you buy it

  • This ocarina is from the Night Provence series, which was recently discontinued. They do have new models out though. Unless you physically go to Japan, it can be hard to find. You could try ebay though.

  • Good, but where did you get the tabs or how did you learn it?

  • I made sheet music for it myself based off of a midi that I had. You can find sheets or tabs at The Ocarina Network.

  • very nice!!! can i have numerical tabs for it please? :)

  • Unfortunately, I don't use numerical tabs, so I can't help you with that. But, I'm sure someone at the ocarina network might be able to help you.

  • wow thats good. nice ocarina too---5 stars

  • What website did you get that Ocarina from?

  • finally a version that sounds RIGHT

  • any tabs?

  • Sorry, I don't have any. However, I'm sure you can find some on TON. Check out Moonsyne's Tab section. If that doesn't work, you could always request it.

  • oh am sorry i didnt recognize ur user name rite away. Yea am from TON too but i wan the full song not just the main part lke in the tabs. I just need to know a few things like the last section of the song and what note is the last note on the repeat of the first part

  • If you can read sheet music, I could possibly make a full one for you. Teidon's sheet is the full song, but it has been transposed.

  • K il check it out at Ton. transposed to what key? I only own C ocarinas.

I can read sheet music and that would be really helpful!

  • am sorry. i meant my mountain ocarina cant play that last F. it only goes to E. so what should i do?

I have the rest of the song down except that last part....

  • Ok, I made a short sheet of an alternate ending for you. I posted it on TON. Try it out.

  • am sorry. one last question. how did You play it? i see u did it lke in the sheet music but i thought all C ocarinas had the same exact range? I have a Mountains Ocarinas poly C. sorry! this is my last question. LOL

  • No problem. I wasn't familiar with Mountain Ocarinas range until you mentioned it, but my ocarina's highest note is the F, so the song is within my range.

  • nice! better than the guy with lots of views, way better

  • not bad, not bad ;)

  • If that Ocarina requires you to blow higher on the high notes, tilt your head down on the highest notes and maybe that will help with some of the airyness. ;) Nice playing overall.

  • that was really awesome i havent seen an ocarina in so long that was flawless very good vid and do u know eponas song that would be cool

  • Very good! :)

where did you get that occy by the way?

  • My sister bought it for me when she was in Japan.

  • cool! i have a sweet potato ocarnia but iam not at all as good as u i dont even think any of the songs i play sound like the real songs because it is extenede rangge witch makes it very hard to play so im really bad LOL. i gotta admit YOUR AWESOME =D keep it up!

  • Is it a Ti Amo?

  • No, it's a Night brand ocarina of the Provence series.

  • another one of my favorite songs from a great game! woot cake.

  • Well played. Saria's Song is a though one.

  • good job I just find the last part hard for me

  • Well done. You're playing very well.

You can make the 3 highest notes sound better if you bend your chin down as though to touch your chest.

  • Thanks! Yeah, I need to practice that a little more.

  • Very cool 5 stars and subed :)
