  • this looks more like bjj drills though

  • yoga was the first martial art ever!

  • if i did that i'd end up tapping to myself!

  • how about showing us the poses one by one so we can learn to do this?

  • my dog does this on the carpet sometimes and my dad has to yell at it to stop

  • Dude thats Ginastica Natural! It's been around since the 80's in brazil but it's new out here. Rickson gracie demonstrates some of alvaro romanos ginastica in the dvd "choke"!

  • @Guakatimo Actually it's yoga. It's been around since thousands of years ago in India.

  • @javis74 its not yoga of any kind ,its ground grappling movements combined into a flowdrill ,ginastica naural stylee. All the motions are clearly grappling related.

  • @billysue2 It's yoga. All of the movements were chosen because they are related to grappling techniques.

You're welcome to join us at a seminar - look up Prasara Yoga or Ryan Hurst (the dude in the video) and get in touch.

  • @TheAndyFossett he took motions common to newaza and then made yoga like flows out of them, not the other way round,so its not yoga is it.Not saying its not useful

  • It's not Ginastica . Prasara flow uses yogic asanas and follows a flow like pattern. Ginastica natural is just what it is , a series of free moving motion that is mostly explosive in nature. There is no set pattern to Ginastica ,only the motion.

  • Very interesting.

  • Smooth, nice technique!

  • C'mon men....it's Ginastica Natural from Alvaro Romano. C'mon. Don't clonate it.

JJ fighter's do these movements all days...since 1990 (almost)

  • i thought i was the only one who noticed

  • They do have a lot in common, but Prasara and Ginastica are separate systems with separate philosophies. I do respect GN as an interesting and challenging way of moving, but as I understand it, there can be some strain and overdevelopment if one is not careful. Prasara comes from a "health first" perspective.

  • i know you left this comment ages ago but what do you mean by over development?

  • Not meant as a criticism. Ginastica seems (to me) to be sports-performance oriented, so naturally it is going to over work certain muscle chains in preference to others. Certainly it is still far superior to most BWE development programs out there IMO.

  • So really its going to be god for grappling but not overall health? Me personally, i want my muscles to be as developed as they can be.

  • Prasara Yoga for Grappling...I suppose

  • All the Coaches are looking pretty good

  • Excelentes ejercicios
