  • the music kills it

  • France should have fought Germany in WW2 instead of running away

  • the greatest military genius in the history was alexander the great but napoleon must be one of five best generals.

  • @ANTIHYTLERS The Emperor won more victories than Alexander and defeated enemies with the same armaments as he did. Alexander also inherited the army created by Phillip of Macedon whereas Napoleon reformed his army (the corps d'armée system for example), standardised equipment and rose to his position through military and civil genius combined. This isn't to belittle Alexander's monumental achievements, but in the Emperor's own opinion Alexander was 3rd greatest, just behind Hannibal and Caesar.

  • What does France do?....They retreat. End of story.

  • What does France do?

They conquered all Europe by their own.

    What does the USA do?

They conquered a poor 3rd world country with international help. And killed more of their British allies than Iraqis.

    Fuck the United Shits.

  • @alfatrack You weren't at Bouvines, Orleans, Castillon, Fontenoy, Yorktown, Valmy Montenottte, Castiglione, Arcola, Rivoli, Montebello, Marengo, Elchigen, Ulm, Austerlitz, Saalfeld, Jena, Auerstadt, Eylau, Friedland, Somosierra, Coruna, Donauwerth, Regensburg, Essling, Wagram, Ocana, Albuera, Vitebsk, Smolensk, the Moskowa, Krasny, Lutzen, Bautzen, Dresden, Brienne, Montmirail, Vauchamps, Ligny, Wavre, Rocquencourt, Balaclava, Malakoff, Sebastopol, Solferino, Magenta, the Marne, Verdun...

  • FUCK FRANCE

  • @alfatrack FUCK U ! LONG LIFE THE GREAT FRANCE !!!

  • si no fuera por napoleon todavia habria reyes y pocos derechos sociales!!!! viva napoleoonnnnnnnnnn

  • When I grow up I am going to be like Napoleon. Start building your border defenses.

  • Very nice! A fitting tribute to my favourite man ever :3

  • Vive l'empereur! et vive l'Empire!

  • @pennbzh agree :3

  • A vergogna di a Corsica nustrale

  • fu vera gloria

  • Thumbs up for a great video! Is Napoleon your favourite military leader?

  • gloire à l'empereur

  • "Politics is the highest and most powerful dimension of all historical existence. World history is the history of states; the history of states is the history of wars. Ideas, when they press for decisions, assume the form of political units: countries, peoples, or parties. They must be fought over not with words but with weapons. Economic warfare becomes military warfare between countries or within countries. Religious associations such as Jewry and Mohammedanism, Huguenots and Mormons, ...

  • ... constitute themselves as countries when it becomes a matter of their continued existence or their success. Everything that proceeds from the innermost soul to become flesh or fleshly creation demands a sacrifice of flesh in return. Ideas that have become blood demand blood. War is the eternal pattern of higher human existence, and countries exist for wars sake; they are signs of readiness for war. And even if a tired and blood-drained humanity desired to do away with war ...

  • ... like the citizens of the Classical world during its final centuries, like the Indians and Chinese of today, it would merely exchange its role of war-wager for that of the object about and with which others would wage war." - Oswald Spengler is indeed my other self, my counsel's consistory, my oracle, my prophet! I, like a child, will go by his direction...

  • Napoleon > Wellington

  • It's the history of old civilisations; even the Saxons in England had to melt with other peoples; they had to conquer and by then had to melt with their defeated ennemies , as Celts and Romans did. When a people comes to the land of another people it's inescapable.Celts and Romans are dead.

  • Because France is a bunch of culture, people who compose france can't be french? What about Belgium or suizerland? Three language are spoken and no one say that they aren't forming a country.

The cultural membership doesn't predominate under the wish of all men and women who compound a nation. How can you judge what is good or wrong for the french people? Come here, talk to french citzen and then think about that

  • vive napoleon !

    vive la France !

  • napoleon stole all the books from an ancient library near my village here in Italy, he took all the masterpieces of Venice and Florence...and france, france is a murderer of the different cultures...Corsica for example, or maybe Alsace....after the war it also took two small villages called Briga and Tenda from Italy...so, do you still support france? We do not fortunately.

  • During war time, everything is allowed. We were occupated by german and we suffered of that but now we have a very strong friendship with them. Don't focus on the mistakes made by my country long time ago but let's see France for what it is right now.

And you talk about France as a "murderer of cultures".... :

Napoleon owned his carrer to France and felt French. "La marseillaise", the french national hymn was written by a Alsacian man, showing that all those people wanted to be french

  • Corsica was french because The Genoa's Republic made the mistake to sell it to france, and you killed the culture of the corses, they speak almost my language, but you must say that it is french when is not...you french people, you are all in the same way, you receive millions every ear eating on our masteripieces stolen by this motherfucked called napoleon...france sucks so much!!

  • you say that bullshit because you don't really know my country. France is a union of several subcultures, but all those people really wanted to be french (okay some corses want they independance but that's a minority)

I am provençal, living in the south of France. The original language of my region was the provençal, sounding as the spanish. Still, during the revolution wars, during WW1 and WW2 each men of this part of france went to the north to defend the nation.

  • Larga vida al Emperador!

En éste aniversario del 18 de Brumario...

salve Francia y su primer cónsul!

    Gloria a Napoleón!

  • Hail Napoleon, his might and wisdom shall bring light to our lives.

  • wonderfull video. The greatest french ever, in my opinion.

  • But he wasnt French, remember!

Napoleon was born in Corsica, so he's ethnically more Italian than anything.

  • oh my god... That kind of comment sucks so much...

First, corsica is definitly a french region, even at napoleon time.

Then, Napoleon felt himself like a french. He was educated in french school and spent his all life serving France. Don't forget: he was the first "empereur des Français".

Your comment shows the systematicly disparagement of all what's french for the sake of it owned to the anglo-saxon domination of media.

  • OK OK OK Ill remove the comment! Dont get me wrong, I greatly respect him and France too!

Thats why I dont wanna get into a flame war about a point that I understand and somewhat share. Im sorry!

  • "ethnically Italian" means nothing. Ask a militant of the lega Lombarda if Northern Italians have anything in common with Sicilians... Corsica was a French island when Napoleon was born - and he was mostly educated in Champagne, in northern France.

  • @metalnomercy1

OK but use the true "sentence"

Napoleon was never the "Emperador de Francia" but the "Emperador de los Franceses "

and it is a very very different signification ^^

  • viva NAPOLEON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • XOXO

  • Visit my page here to see links about the many and diverse Norman groups resisting the French imperialists in Paris.

  • @Anquetil79: You do not sound like a tough grizzled old soldier but some kind of dandified Nancy boy, who is afraid of wars! You are indubitably no sea-dog but the sort of pasty landlubber I have always despised. I'll warrant, the most exciting thing that has happened to you limpid prawn in a whole year, was the day when you forgot to put sugar in your porridge!

  • @GreatGrumbledook

    1. u are also afraid of wars. and if u say u are not u are lying.

2.stop insu;ting people on a freakin message board

3.what u should have said is that war is sometimes inevitable. it started with the first argument man had over food or shelter and will go on for ever because people will always disagree.

  • @3108711289: I. My deeds and life will approve or disapprove if I am afraid of wars or not. II. I had the urgent need to proclaim that wannabe Viking a coward throughout the net, so do not come between the dragon and her wrath! III. To defend war against any pacifist slander I will quote Heraclitus: "War is both father and king of all, some he has shown forth as gods and others as men, some he has made slaves and others free." - and Oswald Spengler, the great Cassandra of Europe:

  • @GreatGrumbledook

    good quote

  • @3108711289: Thanks; but what quote did you refer to: The one of Heraclitus or Oswald Spengler or both? I am confused and ask your enlightenment.

  • Viva lo zar Alessandro, Metternich, Blucher e Wellington

  • false,Napolen wasn't the same as Hitler .He was much better.

    Look the code civil(Code Napoleon).

We use many rules of this code today.

He was very important, for France, for germany, and for the history!

  • ignorant

  • Napoleon was indeed a great military genus and a brilliant mind overall.Even if he did try to take over Europe...I mean who wouldn't given the opportunity.Greetings from America = )

  • Alex you are so right !! Can't help it if ignorance rule this world.

  • Lol you must be a poor an uneducated napolitan. Caesar killed kids and women and plundered Gaul for years... The Roman empire created the most atrocious games in history and killed Jesus Christ.

You want more? Your country created the mafia and facism!!!

  • 1.actually the jews killed Jesus ;) 2. without the roman ampire you would not be writing using this alphabet or language and would not be civilized 3. there was nothing wrong with mussolinis fascism, and 4. the mafia was isolated to southern italy so you cant say the whole country had it.

  • wrong, it's the Roman emperor who took the decision. Without the Greeks the Roman empire would have had no foundations!!! Nothing wrong with facism? Sure tell this to Matteotti and to that pig who was Mussolini and the mafia is present even in the USA!!!

By the way the Romans copied and used Gallic inventions (helmets, oak for wine fermentation...)

  • The gauls who sacked Rome 490 BC with Brennus were more advanced... LOL Gaul would have survived without the Romans even tough I admire the discipline and rigour of the Legionnaire!!!

  • the roman emperor didnt make the decision to kill Jesus lol, the jews said crucify Him and Pontius washed his hands of it. Actually the etruscans laid the foundations for the roman empire who did though get their ideas from the greeks. Again you cant blame all of italy for the mafia because it was only prevalent in southern italy, lol we arent talking about the USA. By the way Napoleon used to brag that he had roman blood and wore the laurels of a roman emperor.

  • Lol Napoleon used ideas in warfare that were laid by Guibert and Bourcier two Frenchme annd applied them so perfectly!!!

The true center of excellence was Greece, all of the Roman architecture, history, culture, astrology, mathematics and engineering was based on it. All great Roman brains refer to the Greeks!!! Even Caesar bowed down to the great Alexander!!!

Get your facts lol and for the mafia you mention only southern Italy which is incorrect!!!

  • but the romans improved it, everything came from someone else as the greeks in turn got their ideas from egypt and expanded on them. rome invented their own ideas from expanded greek ones, thats how societies work. In italy the mafia is only in the south for the most part. italy and france ( and spain for that matter ) are too close with one another too argue about except france lets to many non-french blood in its great country. vive la france et l'italie.

  • Oui, the Roman empire accomplished great things: peace for some time, stability and prosperity but you can't give all the credit of civilisation to it.

I forgot art plus democracy and the senate are Greek inventions...

That's right they improved ideas very well: look at the legion for ex, they adapted the Macedonian phalanx to European fields...

But I don't think the Egyptians had that much influence on the Greeks, their philosophes, mathematicians and else started their own revolution!

  • yes the greeks also atrributed to italian and french blood as they started cities like syracuse and nice. like i said the egyptians may have just gave some ideas to the greeks as they were slightly older than they. But all the great peoples were mediterraneans and we are all basically related I believe italy would have had a harder time at the last FIFA games had the "french" team been french haha.

  • yes and no, because although Roman culture was based on the Etruscans, the Etruscan's culture was based on the Greeks to a great extent... also don't forget the genetic influence of the Greeks on southern Italy

  • "With the exception of ancient Sparta, Greek women had very limited freedom outside the home. They could attend weddings, funerals, some religious festivals, and could visit female neighbors for brief periods of time. In their home, Greek women were in charge. Their job was to run the house and to bear children."

women had equal rights and were open sexually.

although it is true that some of there culture was Greek the majority of it was not

  • Plus the title Roman emperor became the norm, Charlemagne took the laurels before Napoleon. That is why he said: "the place is vacant for a millenium"

  • The Persians wore helmets in the first millenium BC, don't tell the Romans copied them from the gauls. The only link is the "gallic-type helmet", so called because most of them were discovered in army camps in France and the Low Countries.

  • I am not neopolitan, dick head, because Italy is not just Naples. It is the country with 60 % of the world cultural heritage. And the Romans did not Kill Jesus, the jews did.

And the nationalism exported from the French Revolution all over Europe created the seeds for the development of Fascism. Italian fascism was a reaction the to cosequences of WW1, which was caused by nationalism.

And organised crime existed way, way before Italy, besides the south of France is full of Mafia. So fuck you!

  • By the way, the man you mentioned is also admired WORLDWIDE and is to this day the MOST WRITTEN, DEBATED AND TALKED ABOUT character in history!!!!

You are just jaleous that's all and yes thank you for the bronze statues and vive la Joconde!!! hihihihi

  • why did napoleon had his right arm in his jacket during war?

  • cause he had a stomach hache

  • And I have a degree in History and thx to this man you have rights and it is because of this man that you can have a degree.

  • Ok, PatrioticPotatoes, we're gettin on our nerves now, why don't you just explain us the problem why you had to change your original soundtrack for this candy ass mozart night music, it kind ain't fit the spirit of the clip "military genius".. Napoleon was above all a military genius, whose ways to power were made possible by the french revolution 10 years before his access to trone as First Consul in 1802...

  • As king's and nobles' heads were being chopped off, power was to be deserved by the one who most eagerly wanted it, no matter his birth - and it has been so in France since then - ...

  • Bastards poisoned him.

  • u dont know shit so shut up english tart!

  • I'm not English. I'm Italian. You don't have to be english to not be baptised with the historical legacy of napoleonic propaganda. Nearly all of Europe fought against this tyrant.

And as for "not knowing shit", I have a degree and a Masters in International relations. So you can kiss my ass:-P

  • thanks to this tyrannt you have rights

  • bravo, nicely put!!!

  • The republic was not invented in France or by Napoleon.

  • Comment removed

  • we wonder how you got it then... ;)

  • he was a genius.

  • haha the french army was defeated by the british certainly not by your spanish peasants. it's a shame everybody was against france at this time (as for germany in WW2). Napoleon was not a criminal. yes he was a dictator but you have to know that before him it was chaos in france after the revolution (thousands of people murdered during the "Terror"), and before that during the french monarchy people starved while the rich bought jewels and horses. napoleon was the renewal of the french pride

  • He was defeated by an alliance of British, Prussian, Dutch-Belgian, Hannover, Brunswick, Nassau troops.

    Don't overestimate the British army.

  • Absolutely tanotrooper. If you listen english, they were alone in Waterloo.

  • im done with Napoleon 2.0

  • He was a great man but Nelson won:)

  • nelson won thanks to the rest of all europe and alot of luck when Nelsonf aced him alon the great army threw his armies back to sea in no time even at the last battle Napoleon was breaking the British line when the Prussians came to the rescued and attacked the french from the back or else Nelson would have been defeated just like in Spain

  • i know, and thank you

  • to hell with youtube, im going to reupload it in a few days!

  • ThePatrioticPotato : fuck man, still ain't put back that original video ?.. A Napoleon tribute with this candy ass Mozart music sounds rather odd to me.. PUT BACK GLADIATOR TRACK AND MAKE THE WORLD WATCH WHAT A FRENCH MILITARY GENIUS LIKE NAPOLEON WAS Chears

  • M1kser1: I doubt that either French, Russian or Swedish thought of the Finnish people as a separate entity at all, t'was just a matter of taking land from Sweden to Russia. Actually Finland enjoyed much more self-rule and national identity under Russian rule, including their own parliament, church, own language in schools, local authorities. It would have been assimilated in Great Sweden by now. Russians were even banned from visiting Finland in the Russian empire, needing a special permit.

  • How come the horse in 10.00 is brown and not white, like on the original painting?

  • Because there are several original copies of the original painting, which differ according to the colour of the horse's coat

  • I'm French, thank's a lot...

    --

Yeah, sure, this video was pretty cool whith its last background music (from "Gladiators" soundrack), as it is, need I say, it is quite ridiculous... Put it back, I loved that video as it was !!

  • i'm analysing "Il cinque maggio" poem writen as tribute to Napoleon Bonaparte by italian wirtier Alessandro Manzoni right now...

  • Those Bassterds made me change the Audio!

    Well To Hell With them!

    Im going to remake it!

  • Who made you change the music PP ? It sucks completely compared to your previous audio.

This music is better for skating lol

Good luck if you change it.

  • Excellente vidéo !

  • one year now!

  • It is a sad consequence and i understand you .His biggest fan was Poland.Who was under russian tyranny since decades, even centuries. That is why his name is still in the Polish anthem.

  • He didn't make Russia attack Finland. At the most he said "ok" because the alternative was going to war with Russia again. He'd already been at war with Russia for 2 years in 1807. Would Finland have gone to war with Russia to defend Poland or France? No. So a bit more respect for the guy who would probably have liberated you in 1812 or 1813 if he'd got a surrender out of the Russians.

  • thank you.

  • thanks for your video and your effort PatrioticPotatos.

    Merci.

  • Awesome job! Thanks!

    ...

  • thus take the time if you want to write the " rallying cry to the Emperor" to write in French and in good French, this is not difficult to find on youtube and Internet

"VIVE l'Empereur !!" would have was better and more truth that your impossible "viv Eampere" at the end (????!!)

where are you seek this strange words (its all that you want but sure its not french language (ah it's martian language OK... lol)

  • T'as l'air d'avoir un grave problème psychologique toi!

  • i can understand while seeing this video you are in fact an "fanatic" Anglo-Saxon who don't like France

you pay tribute to the Conqueror Napoleon BUT if it's necessary to pay tribute to French people, for you it's very difficult

same it's impossible for a fanatic Anglo-Saxon and thus who don't love French people in truth (like you)

i understand it when i see yours videos on the subject...

    I'm all right ??

  • and I seek, I seek, I don't see any time the French flag in this tribute to Napoleon...

For a man who was emperor of France and of the french people that it's astonishing...

ah Ok in fact, he was to be the Emperor of the Martians and his army consisted the people of the planet Mars...

    ...

  • sorry 10.000.000 or 11.000.000 also in Austria Empire

thus for that the French Republic and the French Empire could to hold a long time alone vs 4 royals Empires

Napoleon been able to take the men in the very big tank of the French peasants, solids, strapping men and disciplined who formed the majority of our armies of the first empire

  • it was possible because France of this time was the most powerful European nation

There was for example 26.000.000 of citizens in France during Napoleonean time vs

    9.000.000 in U.K.,

    10.000.000 in Prussia and

    8.000.000 in Austria Empire

Only Russia could compete with the number of French citizens (Russian was even more numerous)

    ...

  • don't forget either that it are ALL royalists european nations who attacked in first the young French Republic in 1789

after the continuation, the counter-attack and the conquest of Europe by the republic and French Empire of Napoleon are the results of that ^^

    ...

  • Bonaparte would not have become Napoleon

if the people of France had not been there

if people of France had not been the first in Europe to be revolted vs the tyranny of the kings

if the French revolution of 1789 and the French Republic had not existed

Napoleon is the children of the French Republic and the French revolution

you must never forget that when you think about the Emperor

    ...

  • yes admiration for Bonaparte and Napoleon The First a genius and a visionary of this time

But admiration also for the french people and the french nation if you are an objectif guy

  • and what the invasion of russia Why had napoleon to invade russia ?. He provoked countless of dead.Even today Gengis Kan is revered in Mongolia. Who cares about the people his conquests killed ?

Same with Napoleon. French love him. Who cares that he killed thousands ?. That is how humans are. Human beings have no respect for life . Human beings love butcherers

  • Napoleon was a conqueror, the last. World has change since his time. Personally I think we cannot compare two time of history with the same criteria. And in France, let me explain to you. 90% don't give a fuck about Napoleon, 5% hate him and 5% love him.

LONG LIVE CANADA!!!!!!THE SUPERIOR COUNTRY!!! WE SHALL RULE THE EARTH!!

  • Oui, t'es mignon ptit...

  • looool

    whats this sucker ?? looool

He wasn't a dictator like Hitler, he was an Emperor, the emperor of France!!!!!!!!

  • So what!? He's a Druge whereby he can't be perfect! Whom of them is? But for a Druge he is good and helped the gnostics a lot. At least he was not a farsophobe.

    Down with superstition!

  • Napoleon was almost as bad as hitler. He destroyed the lives of millions of people. How can someone say " Vive Lempereur "?

It is hard to believe how dumb human beings are

  • from the anglo saxon standpoint as well as the catholic churches standpoint, yes he was bad....in reality its the catholic church who has caused the most pain and suffering. It was the pope who organized the coalitions against napoleon.

  • I understand why some people don't like Napoléon. But you can't compare him with Hitler, notably because of the shoah.

At the begining the war is because all the monarchies attack France (because they don't accept the republic). The young republic had no choice except defend itself against all the rest of the continent. The result is that Napoleon took the power and then counter-attacked. There was a lot of dead but also a hope for some Europeans. Don't forget the monarchies were dictatures!

  • "The young republic had no choice except defend itself against all the rest of the continent."

Sounds familiar... greetings from the old Serenissima Res Publica.

  • If you don't make the difference you are total supid.

  • you are the stupid. what rights did napoleon brought ? In the battle of Borodino near moscow more than 70 000 got killed or shot. These were the Napoleon rights. The right to get a bullet on ones head.

  • Yes, it was war, how many men are falled under Ceasar oders? I was taking about the dogma into the conquest territory. In every war mens get kill. Hitler this is an other kind of men, him he killed famillys, with childs and women. So if you don't like Napoleon ok, but compar him to Hilter is very stupid, I'm sorry.

  • Well when Napoleon conquered a country, he would eliminate the monarchies of that country, so that the people would have rights. Get it??

  • of course dear friend. Napoleon brought lots of rights to the russian people. Still today russians love napoleon . When it comes to the rights of the french.., many saw the 72 virgins. They were martyred in russia and I have no doubt they went to heaven and meet the 72 islamic virgins

  • beaten by the english and germans...(wellington and blücher)

  • Only after 20 years of french military domination. The British bastards kept their asses warm in Great Britain and let the Russians and the Austrians do the bad job, giving them money. They were waiting until France was weak. Only then, they accepted to fight. Quel courage!
