I agree. The modded sound alone is not super interesting. It probably sounds better when played with other instruments in the mix. But that beat gets nice and gritty.
this is a really good video i wud make it but i dont know where to get the 1/4 inch jacks as u call them and i dont wanna break open my amp or anything to get some
What exactly are the different settings? Would there be a way to change from that little switch to a pot or something? Or four pots? I ask because a friend of mine has this exact same toy and maybe it'd be cool to do this. maybe I should just crack it open and see for myself.
I think they are explicit switches i.e. not simply settings in a continuum that a pot would work on. 4 separate pots may do the trick. Be careful with this - It's very fragile. I broke this one and one other already without much use.
I made one and kept the speaker and the microphone intact. (actually just put input/output jacks in the megaphone case theres enough room in the cone-part) you could hook up a mic to the input and put it by the speaker then play something into the mic, created a weird feedback. i dunno if that overloads the circuits somehow...mines broke now lol
am the only one that noticed his stripy socks?

Radio Shack or Frys has them. You can order them online from either.

thanks for this demonstration. would it be possible to add the input jack while still keeping the microphone?
muskelpust 3 years ago
I don't see why not - just solder the input jack to the same place as the mic wires. If you do this, tell me how it works out!

I´ll try :)

Absolutely simple. The point is to show people how easy it is to make something perform in a way it wasn't intended to, bent or not.
DocDrone 3 years ago
pretty cool but very simple seeing as how there arent really any actual bends

Is it 8950 chip or something else?
umkathedog 3 years ago
In looking at the guts, the chip is unmarked... don't know what it is.
