That looks pretty cool, I scull with just an oar and oarlock, but this device looks like the learning curve is much shorter. Probably a good idea for the occasional boater, or a daysailer that want's to get out from the dock without using a motor.
Yes, you are right. This was the first test, and we know now we can change easily blades and angles as it is needed using it, depending of the boat and oar used. A bigger blade in the water would help a lot. Also the angle between the handle and oar seems to small.
