anybody know exactly where some of this movie was shot? There is a sign that reads "vista grande st east LA" where the vato gets hit up but there is no such bridge around grande vista ave. Is the bridge on lorena and 4th? what about the stairs the vatos are walking up where there is a lot of graffiti (like a tunnel)? or the pad the vatos come out of...the part of the riverbed they go into? Anybody got insight?

This Movie was made in Boyle Heights not just East L.A. many scenes were made near Hollenbeck Junior High and Roosevelt H.S. in the White Fence territory, like in the scene where Chuco hits up the 11th Streeter, thats in Boyle Heights down Lorena st. heading towards the Mercadito on 1st.

I love this movie even though it was made in the 1970's it has alot of great style, heart, and true story on how the life of a gangster's life is his own neighborhood...its a great classic..and the music...and cars on here is great...it actually a hard life and a little sad...but it a basic, simple family life story...I love this movie...its one of my favorites...my favorite is the younger brother...i forgot his name....:)
