The s=>d button allows you to change a fraction to a decimal. With the 'shift' button on a fx-83GT PLUS calculator(scientific) you can get the '%' sign.
I cant even pay attention to alot of teachers, but I learn very easily from eccentric teachers like this guy. Good stuff here. This video will probably help me pass my test later today.
Youtube is better than school because you have focus and less distractions and you are helping yourself to information and not being force fed, or under pressure to perform - you can wind up a teacher, but you can't stop or rewind them at will, as here
Please never pursue acting, with that said thank you this video just really helped me keep up in my class instead of fall behind, my teacher has a Romanian accent.
lets say for example 3/4...cant i just divide 300/4 and then divide the answer by 100...or shift the decimal point two places to the left...!?!? or would i b wrong?
Thank you so much! I have my Diocesen Finals (Catholic Schools) in less then a week. This year my teacher was fired, because she taught us nothing, and we feel like we aren't being taught anything. This is helping me prepare for the finals. You've done what my teachers haven't- Taught me. Thanks!
@RoadsideRon Ron, you're a GREAT teacher & this video proves it. The majority of teachers can NOT 'teach' or, rather, THIINK 'outside the box in order to explain and/or break thiings down for those who can't quite grasp traditional 'methods'. BlasianQT101 is right. 'Teachers' put a problem on the board & move on. Those who struggle to get the concept are left in the dust. Our entire educational system needs to change & it would be for the better if teachers could 'get it'.
Oh my God, this guy is awesome!! he fix my 20 year old problem in one second I always confuse what # I have to divide the top or the bottom, but with this video I not going to have the problem anymore. Thank you sooo much RoadsideRon ......XOXO
i get this and no not for my teacher the problem is you dont listen or ask a question of how to do it i just went in here to be sure oh and thanks a lot i really undersatnd now
better than my teacher, my teacher would give an example and answer it really fast, as if he was the student wanting to answer the question lol and then he'll just gives the questions to us then we'll need to answer and finish it for h/w by tom and theres like 28 question and stuff lol
lolololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololol u guys make math fun : O
I teach dyslexic children and your "slide it into the decimal house" visual is PERFECT visual aid for helping my students! The world needs more teachers like you!
Thanks, Mr. Rod Are you going to have anymore videos in the future? I really need help for school. I've been out of school for a long time, and forgot a lot of stuff. English and math.
Thank you Mr.Ron, I failed my first test on fractions decimals and percents, i wasnt paying attention and i did bad in class, i missed the lesson in class and i decided to go home and try to find a vid on youtube about it,
I had a test the nest day called Algebra Geometry 3, I passed that test having decimals fractions and percents,
Thank you very much Mr.Ron for posting this vid, we all appreciate it, if it hadnt been for you i wouldve failed my test and went to summer school.
i like the imagery you used to show how to divide a fraction properly. well done.

If you have a calculator, you divide 1/4. 1/4=0.25
To find 0.25 as a percentage, you multiply 0.25 by 100.
1/4 -> 0.25 -> 25%
