  • Where's the BIKE

  • This is fuckin brilliant

  • Love Oasis - but you can tell Liam gets some of his swagger from Ian Brown

  • Reni is up there with Topper as one of the greatest drummer ever :)

  • stop fighting! Just enjoy the sounds.

  • @limpardoify Indeed - Maddix is a good drummer, and he was certainly arrogant enough to take over Reni's place! I've read some of his quotes at the time. But the guy had 2 weeks to nail the songs before the American tour, which is damn good going.

Unfortunately for him Reni is just in a different league - not just to Maddix but to pretty much any other sticksman I can think of. After he left the Roses Reni really should have just done a solo career like Gene Krupa - a standout drummer.

  • just plain wrong of the band to use a loop instead of have Reni play for real on the album.

  • @lazyitus was thinkin just that , the mind boggles

  • Reni plays drums like a two tentacled Octopus that has learnt to utilise them both as if he has eight tentacles.

  • And yes, I was writing using my son´s account so A big apology to The one and only

    Buduiza.

  • I was there.Well impressive! I reached out to the stage and Ian Brown handed me

a flash bulb from a camera.Don´t know who was more spaced out.

  • Ian Brown was here in Helsinki, Finland on the 18th feb 2010. It was simply amazing.. Nice to see one of my fave bands lead singer onstage @ tavastia.. And they played this tune as well so it was kind of to see the stone roses live if you know what I mean?:)

  • super-reni

cant belive they used a cheesy loop instesd of the man

wankerd on them drugs i spose.

these could of destroyed all bands at this time.

  • The Roses could've played any old shite really, with Reni on the stix it doesn't matter... the guy is a one man gig machine. With him on the drums it wouldn't even matter if they'd had a shite singer, ballsing up up every performance....oh wait a minute....

  • @BringBackReni well said pal..reni WAS the roses,he was like a fuckin walkin talkin stalkin machine of rhythmic vocal excellence....james brown, the byrds amd kieth moon all rolled into one , on a white dove...thats reni

  • Liquid funk-bop bliss...The eternally-trippy spirit of 1990 is in the area!

  • Reni made me pick up the drums - a legend.

  • ian said they only done this live about 2 or 3 times so this is very cool

  • best live version of this was Spike Island - fucking epic. Although drumming wise check out AlyPally - immense xx

  • john squire- probably the most underrated guitarist in history

  • @anikin69 Amen he is a fucking awesome guitarist

  • reni is fucking brilliant

  • This sounds really solid. I wish there was more footage of their golden days like this. Thanks.

  • Woah, this is funky! I love this version! :D

  • I was 4 y.o. at that time & had just moved to England from Finland. I wish I wouldve been at that gig!

  • Fantastic live performance. Love Reni in the ten seconds leading up to 2:55.

  • this is the best live version i've heard

  • This version is even better than the studio one fucking amazing band!!!

  • paulsawers are you a twat liam gallagher come after ian brown liam copyed it of ian

  • u havin a laugh?

  • Well I was trying to, don't think anyone's laughing with me though!!

  • stone roses were before oasis's time you dickhead

  • No shit Sherlock, I was joking!

  • how is Ian Brown trying to be Liam Gallagher??!!! When Ian Brown was before Liam, SMEGHEAD!!!

  • Once again, a classic example of a complete and utter nonce, not able to tell when someone is joking. If you following the comments under the original one, you'll be enlightened. Have a nice day!

  • @paulsawers Liam Gallagher my arse.

  • Really nice performance! :D

  • still a fucking spine-tingler, john2y, yr funny lol.

  • Fuckin class! not seen this one b4, nice one mate! *****

  • never heard this version, nice one, cheers mvita!

  • King Monkey In The Area

  • Nah... Only different music tastes dude ;)

  • Oh my God, who the fuck is this john2y? what a joker obviously hasnt got a clue and is way out of his depth. Roses are legends, fookin amazing version.... john2y do one, your a loser!!!!

  • Iceland Rocks!

  • You are in your hole from Finland

  • JSU, thanks for these live videos. Very difficult to get Roses life stuff that hasn't been released already. Great vids. Long live the Roses!

  • one of the greatest bands ever at the height of they're powers. fuckin tragic it all fell apart

  • king monkey!

  • these were the days renis plays with so much comfidence

  • Reni going well too fast. Very sloppy version. Stll cool though.

  • amazing! ian's voice sounds well good here, its so goood!

  • AWESOME.

  • Magical! This was a definite creative highpoint for the band....if they had of recorded an album in this vein with the other tunes of this era- Somethings Burning, One Love, etc, who knows what they would of been capable of? We can only wonder...Great footage tho, thanx for sharing it.

  • 5 stars !

  • Neva seen them play fools gold live before this is amazing

  • class pure through n through jhons use of the wah wah is amazing

  • Ian's voice is pretty good for Ian. Wonder why he has never found a set up which helps him sing in tune live (whether monitors so he can hear the band, or a lower mix so he doesn't sound bellow rather than sing, as in the Second Coming tour).

  • absolutly awesome, those days, were did they go

  • God Bless The Stone Roses! Bigger Than The Beatles!

  • this stuff pisses all over blackpool footage, silvertone fukin edited all that gig or at least on the dvd they did they left off sally cinnamon and standing here, bastards!

  • try n get hold of a video of the blackpool gig. i think they're both on there

  • heard that fools gold was amazing live, this is the proof.

  • ¿La tocaban un tono arriba?

  • Hi, the JSU...you don't happen to have these on DVD and for sale, do you??

  • Excellent. Interesting how they've managed to recreate this classic song on a live platform. So talented, every one of them, even Brownie sounds good here.

  • brilliant
