Cool! I`m actally planning to do the same thing to my G&L Rampage Jerry Cantrell signature guitar. I bought it used from some guy who changed the custom wound alnico pup to a Dimarzio super dist. Since theres no tonecontrol and only one humbucker, I thought why not have the possibility to change the sound just a bit. Thanks for the vid and demo :o)
@InFuriatedShadows - I followed the wiring diagram on the Seymour Duncan site. However, the tab to be grounded on the push/pull pot that I used was too short to be bent and soldered to the bottom of the pot, so I used a short piece of wire.
Just dug my old single hb Kramer out of storage. I did some upgrading to it around '86-87 but had forgotten what kind of Seymour Duncan I had dropped in. Turns out it was pretty desirable DCJ coded SH-5. I was considering whether or not to add a little something to it while cleaning it up and this vid pretty much made my decision for me. Thanks, dude!
The chord progression is similar to that of a song by the Artist Formerly and Now Again Known as P... He (or his record company) is sensitive about pulling videos that have his music in them, so I won't say any more :p

Where did you solder the ground on the coil split?

Hope this helps!

The coil split sounds GREAT!!! I want to modify my guitar to have coil splitting, and series and parallel wiring.

1:26 Purple Rain. Nice. You should put up videos of your other guitars.
