Kicker Comp Subs

The box made those subs knock. You need to have them in a vented box. I sold the camaro that this vid was taken in over a year ago and bought a bmw and put them in a sealed box. and they sounded good, but the bass hit deeper and harder in the vented box.

If so, you have to be patient and break em in and youll be bumpin before you know it, usually takes a week or two to break em in, but yes it is enough power...kicker comps are rated at 150 rms (per sub) your giving it 175 rms per sub which is just right for performace and durability!

@bsmithxx go with two kicker cvx 12's they will handle everything your amp can throw at them they are usually around 350 each but sometimes you can get them on a buy one get one deal

@JingFluX you cant bridge subs exactly, those subs are either wired to 4 ohm or 2 ohm, my guess is 2 ohms since he said it has only one set of -and+ on the box.

the subs are under powered, they RMS at 175 each, i am giving them roughly 150? my amp is turned down, but each sub could hold at least 200 minimum even maybe up to 250rms, im not sure, kicker under rates its equipment, but for a little amp it bumps good

i had the subs facing the other direction (facing the windshield) and they were too loud and they werent pleasant to drive with i keep the low negative and the sub negative too, the interior is so small it bumps so hard

Ramtin- The sound will not come out as deep and will not have as much vibration.

Miasman- The RMS is 150 each sub, I am running 175 RMS each and I know they can handle more, but my amp can not. Look for an amp maybe around 400-500RMSx1 at 2ohms. My amp is 350RMSx1 at 2ohms and they have room to go.

Its better to keep the box sealed, it gives the sub a harder thump, and if you want you can put the poly fiber in there and it will decrease the "noise" so you hear more thump. Thats just me though since it helped my system.

wow no your totally wrong. keeping the box sealed dosent let it really hut the lows and humm. on the manuals or specs it usually says if its a ported or not or vented. by not venting it, the air its trying to push out comes back at it nd hinders it from really reaching the low. these kickers are free air speakers but best preform in ported or vented enclousers. It would sound better vented or ported .
