I was there, sitting in that end zone. What an explosion from the crowd when Smith crossed the goal line. Have heard nothing like that before or since in that stadium - not that there's been much to cheer about since then.

@berto1169 Crazy... and the ironic thing is that the people in the stadium were the only ones in South Florida that saw it... the rest of us hardcore fans had to head West to Naples or North to Melbourne to catch it.... Hope that we get back to playing at this level.. we're certainly due... :)

@yoshiscute Yeah, you guys have been suffering just about as long as we have... I miss the days when Miami made the playoffs almost every year (we would even win 6 of these in the 10 years between 1990-2000), but its funny... by the mid 90s Don Shula and, by the end of the decade, Dan Marino were run out of town for not winning enough in the playoffs... if we only knew what laid ahead of us... :(

lol @ 5:04. Exactly what I was doing. Lamar Smith doesn't get enough respect from Dolphins fans. He had the best rushing year for a Dolphin since 1978 and delivered us our last playoff win (seen here) in heroic fashion.

They actually issued a Wind Chill Advisory even though the wind chills only dropped into the upper 20s? In my area, they don't issue a Wind Chill Advisory unless the wind chills drop WAY down, i.e., into single digits.

@FutureNewsAnchor Yup... when it gets cold like that in Florida, its a damper cold than you see in other parts of the country which can feel colder than a drier cold, so they do issue wind chill advisories if it is projected to dip below 30... :)

Great game ... reminded me of that time, was the first time he saw as division champions the Dolphins (2,000), those guys worked hard, I see videos of highlights of that season.

ive always been a bengals fan but i like the dolphins two this was an amazing win i remember it ive had a thing were everytime i watch a playoff game if the underdog is winning by halftime it goes eather way but if the underdog is losing aT HALFTIME THEY ALWAYS COMBACK TO WIN

Remember when you didn't need a star studded cast of offensive players to win playoff games? look at the teams left this year besides the Jets. Colts, Saints, and Vikings. Every team has offensive stars. Defensive teams have gone by the wayside compared to how it was back then.

Like this season (2008) The 2000 Miami Dolphins were something else. Nobody predicted we would win the division when the season started. We had a great "D" but a coach nobody thought was any good, a QB no one ever heard of, and a RB nobody ever heard of. What a wild season 2000 was. GO DOLPHINS!!!

Beautiful, just beautiful. I had to work this day and I remember running home and catching this game right at Overtime. Boy that Jay Fiedler, one second you wanna strangle the guy, next second he comes up big. One thing is for sure, with Chad Pennington no need to worry at all. GO DOLPHINS!!!!
