  • yeah kitty you evidently dont know shaqaunda was attacked...that teacher did not just touch her but indeed she made shaquanda fall and shaquanda had a gash in her head trying to defend herself...but you didnt write that in comments fdid you???? ignorant people always trying to talk trash.

  • Come on....Black panthers? Thats ridiculous. Again, trying to intimidate to get what you want. Whats up with the masks? Its 2009, stop playing the victims and make a life for yourselves. Stop crying racism everytime a black gets in trouble. They are responsible for making bad decisions just like everybody else.

  • Amen

  • Crack Power LMFAO

  • black panther ha ha can we say dress up costom party nitwits

  • TOADS

  • Uh...She went to my school...ok....The teacher touched her first...to tell her to stop her from doing something...and the teacher had had a heart attack and apparently she pushed the teacher off...and When she was sent to the office the mother was proud of her for doing so....Know...That's basically all i know...but yea...

  • SHe had had a heart attack before that...sorry...but anyway...IT's kinda screwed up....

  • To bad her "baby" got her ass thrown right back into jail. People made such a big deal outta this, the girl hit the teacher, and you cant say she didnt, b/c she had marks on her face and quiet a few ppl saw it. I seriously cant beleive they let the girl out, it was just a bunch of ppl got mad over something extremly retarded and wanted to call it racist.

  • got what she deserved, and these people are childish for making such a big deal out of it. shes gotten in trouble plenty of times before that, this was just the last straw.

  • she got exactly what she deserved.she shouldve gotten a lot worse.if that wouldve been a white kid noone wouldve freeked out like this,i wasnt even in town when this bullshit happend.i wouldve drove by and laughed at all those dumb ass's.

  • I do NOT get it!! I have lived in Paris ALL my life..and have never seen racism PERSONALLY. BUT-my point is, if my son had gotten into SO much trouble...THEN had the NERVE to place his hands on an ADULT and injure that person, he WILL pay the price and learn his lesson. Her sentence was based on her BEHAVIOR while in the youth facility, it was NOT a determined amount of time! How is THEIR shit ANY diff. than the KKK?? BS!!!

  • That was a lie. You need to do your research. That's what wrong with the ppl this country. Her mom has a video on YouTube talking about all the rumors that are out about her child.

  • Which part of this video is the lie, or implies lack of research? I have an opinion, but this is non objective coverage of what happened that day...

  • Yessss Yessss Yesssss! This brought tears to my eyes-to see so many people standing up for this child. It made a difference. I find it unreal that I have not seen one newscast on this girl-but, minute by minute updates on that idiotic waste of space Paris Hilton.

  • i'm actually on the other side of the country...never even been to Paris, but keep me posted on your work there this summer, very interested to hear what you're up to

  • there was a follow up town hall meeting in Paris a month or so ago. Its "evolution" is just the awakening of a sleeping giant, in that many are listening and acting now. I know of a few organizations who were there, but as far as joining them, I couldnt help you there...

  • The protest was spearheaded by RIcky Smiley of 97.9 The Beat(a Dallas radio station). The media got wind of it and came themselves, but all this footage was taken by me.

  • I completely agree that today it has reached all the categories of people you mention - but to disregard the relations between white society and African American society would be ridiculous, as that's where the most tension lies, and that is where a solution is needed first.

Are you saying that those issues you mentioned above are issues relevant to this case? or simply issues in this country? If it is the latter, well you've only scratched the surface...

  • I urge all everyone of every race to write your local TV stations, write this tyrant judge Mr. superville & the governor of the Texas (addresses are listed here: free shaquanda cotton . blogspot . com /2007/03/write-and-contact-judge-and-governor . html), sign the petition to free this young girl (the petition site . com /takeaction/947488630?ltl=1175216562) and let this tragic situation be the spark of a new revolution...

  • 2.ALL people who are tired of this government and it's insanely biased legal systems need to stop being so scared and get up & DO SOMETHING! As a white member of the NAACP I have to warn that to sit around and feel bad for those suffering under intolerant circumstances is just as harmful as assisting those creating the circumstances -- how long is this shit going to continue?

  • 1.this is so devastatingly sick - I had the chance to listen to Mrs. Afeni Shakur speak last night, and she said one of the most powerful & true things I've heard in a long time: the civil rights movement was lost. I think it's time we picked up the "dream" where it was left off & make justice a reality. This is all of our responsibilities, not just the black population.

  • this is some fuck up shit man, things like this happens everyday, every hour in the USA instead of talking about it let's do something about it like start a war i'm all for it. black power and FREE SHAQUANDA COTTON NOW BITCH
