  • @ilovemusic998 haha wtf, he sounds like hes from the southcoast.

  • But im a True newfie :)

  • That is not a newfie accent, nothing even remotely like it. And yes I am from Newfoundland.

  • Different accents in different areas. I can tell he's not faking, but he's not from where I am in NL; there's a thicker accent that is the more stereotypical Newfie accent in the area I was born.

  • Very interesting accent indeed, I'm detecting Irish and the west coast of England in there.

I would have to hear more to be sure

  • your accent sounds like somebody from Wexford in Ireland

  • stupid tim england and britain are the same friggin ting, you sounds more like a new yorker dan anyting (nuttin gainst new yorkers)

  • Good god you must be a British stereotype american or some nasty chav dumbshit. Idiot, England and Britain are not the same thing. The United Kingdom and britain have a bit more in common but its still not the same thing. England is the bit that isn't scotland, wales, eire or northern ireland.

Learn to spell and get your facts straight before criticising others.

  • well b'y sorry fer gettin on yer nerves but i knows this fella and we torments him sometimes on his accent. and dis is how newfie types when we are doin something like this. I figued the accents sound the same, usually whether you lives in wales or oxford.

  • Apologies, banter is a different thing altogether. I had you down as a classic youtube armchair academic and i had just been having a long argument with one of those. Hoisted by my own petard

  • All of my dads family lives in Cornerbrook..look em up. we are the Clarke's. I'm in Ontario though.

  • ditto (from a londoner)

  • it's not that strong of an accent, haha.

    i'm assuming you're not a bayman.

    i' from st. mary's, haha.

  • that's one crazy accent you've got there (from a Londoner).

  • rocky isle in the ocean be newfoundland

  • i dont find you have an accent o.O

  • It's not an accent it's a dialect

  • nah it's an accent - accent is different ways of prounouncing words, and a dialect is changes in grammar and the actual words you use (I'm a linguistics student :P)

  • That's correct. An accent refers solely to phonology (pronunciation) and dialect refers to this as well as syntax and word choice.

  • In that case.. it's definitely a dialect. The way Newfies speak is more then pronunciation. We have our own dictionary!

  • my god timmy dont make me get on there lol ill pu ur newfie accent to shame lol

  • yup lmao newfoundland

  • Okay, now for Americans you have to explain Newfie. I'm guessing Newfoundland.

  • nice
