Wow, this is very interesting. I have been doing research of my own and have found that myopia is very much a trained phenomenon and that people can teach their eyes to be myopic. One of the suggested PREVENTIVE solution, is to study the dynamic behavior of the natural eye, the be prepared to accept the idea of wearing a "preventive plus" for all near work. The bifocal studies (Francis Young) show that prevention in that manner could be effective.
