Why are people debating whether flute or oboe is harder? i play flute and it is honeslty not that hard to play, the oboe's double reed makes it a harder instument

@MegaVideoluver Both are great instruments, i play trumpet myself, however i will say that you should follow whatever your passion is and there will be times in the future to change i you must. I personally enjoy both

@OboeWanKenobixD Flute isn't easy, believe you me. I've played with the Seniors of High School and even the first chair was having trouble making her Flute play after 8 years of playing. That statement isn't completely true.

@bettybaybay12 Oboe's are quite hard but i'd say flutes are more hard. Imagine playing an Oboe but holding to your side, its hard. VERY hard -__-

@SilverFreezing Actually flutes are one of the easiest instruments to play. Oboes are one of the hardest especially since it uses a double reed. Even a small change in temperature can mess up your playing and you have to learn how to adjust in order to play correctly. Besides holding an instrument sideways doesn't make it harder to play, especially not a light instrument like the flute... just saying...

You have not played a flute before, did you? I play the flute myself and it requires A LOT OF AIR. I have asthma myself, and it makes it harder.

Flutes are really difficult. The saxophones are probably easier, but I never played one.

@OboeWanKenobixD ...wow really? my best friend plays oboe and they are difficult in their own ways. tuning on both is a nightmare (woodwind quintet together!) and yeah oboe has to be adjusted in diff temps but that problem happens with a lot of instruments so get off your high oboe horse and celebrate how amazing all the instruments are!
