Hosepower basicaly measures how fast x weight can be moved over x distance, i cant remember the exact numbers.

Torque is the turning force of the engine, torque is used in calculating HP, lotsa torque + lotsa rev's = lotsa HP.

Torque is important because a torquey engine will have lotsa power from low revs, so itll pull hard from anywhere, where as an engine that produces its power by reving high will not pull untill you get to very high revs.

Actually, you shouldn't look at the power ... Look at the TORQUE. That's more important than hp ... At acceleration that is. Higher hp results in higher top speed (and aerodynamics, weight, ... etc of course)

TTS Performance in the UK makes a supercharger kit for the R3s, using a Rotrex super. Expensive, but 280+whp (with a charge air cooler) makes it worthwhile!
