I am with Power Brake Service, we do performance brake upgrades and we need to get ahold of any of the Typhoon, Syclone, turbo GM trucks of that era to do a video of. Turbos rob vacuum from the brake booster and we retrofit hydraulic brakes to solve that. Yes they are "rated" at that but Ford did a little something special. If you dyno them you will see they put out 425. There is a reason that Chevrolet stopped making the Camaro that year. Till this date no mustang is as fast dollar for dollar. Saleen, roush, none of them.

I'm a Mustang guy, and that was NOT a cobra. But I know for a fact that the Syclones are good for high 12's in stock config. This one clocked off a 12.86, I believe that mustang was a 3.8 liter.

I currently drive an '89 5.0 and I don't toy with the local Typhoon/Syclone boys. I know better than that. Haha. ;-P There's a 1200 RWHP Typhoon in town, the guy built it over a course of about 8-10 years and just finished it this past year. Every nut and bolt is painted to match the gray metallic/white paint scheme. Last I knew he had just clocked 75 miles on the motor.

Some people need to get their info straight. The Syclone is AWD @ 265 HP Turbo. Runs 1/4s stock at low 13's upper 12's. This is a fast truck. And with just a few engine mods, it can be a 11 second car. Now corvettes run those numbers. This will kick the crap out of a Mustang GT, sorry guys.

Depends on the GT, if it was a stock GT it still would lose, but not as bad as this POS v-6. If it was a GT with some bolt ons and a S/C then it would be a different story and I won't even bring up a Terminator Cobra...
