I have to say, I was expecting him to butcher this chorus if he was going to try and sing it at the same octave that it was recorded but I'm really impressed. I don't know why people are hating on it. Way better than the Jimmy Kimmel performance. Of course, it is slower so it allows him to focus and catch his breath better. I like it.

If this is a radio show, he's also probably saving his voice for a show. Most artist do that when they play a radio acoustic before a set. They use it more like a warm up because they don't want put any strain on their voices now. I heard Tim from rise against drop some of his songs an octave or two because before a show. You can't judge this performance like regular acoustic set because he's not putting his full vocal effort into this.

The truth is simply this... He can sing. Personally, I like the song and I think it's better acoustic because I can hear more vocals. To each his own though. I think we can all agree that his vocals make this f'n song. Give credit where credit is due. He's good. The dynamics between his singing and screaming makes the song.
