  • I have a 25 acp colt but mine just says colt pt. fa on the slide is it the same as yours?

  • Very pretty

  • My God....just when I thought you'd run out of guns to show us....Holy Hell! Really interesting. I've nver seen 'em before.

  • Wher can I find a replacement firing pin for my Astra 200 firecat? i mean i tried "EVERYONE" in the united states & no one has them.

    Please help

  • @lowboy03 Sorry, I can't help you.

The only options I can suggest are to continue to patiently look for the firing pin, find a machinest who can manufacture the part or look for another pistol that you can turn into a parts gun, salvage the part you need and sell the rest of the pieces on e-bay or a similar auction site.

    good luck! :)

  • weird looks exactly like my old bebe gun

  • ACP- what?

  • @Fearless983 ACP = Automatic Colt Pistol

  • How much would you say one of these costs? Whats the most expensive colt you have?

  • Does the Astra Vest mag fit into the Colt's?

  • I have three of these, an Astra, an American made Colt, & a Spanish Colt. The Astra is the best out of the three and the oldest, I haven't had a problem with it yet. The Colts are riddled with problems. I hate to say this because I love Colt, but it's true. The Astra is the better gun.

  • y I wearing gloves

  • Precision Small Arms currently makes the hammerless .25, cheaper than dirt sells them for $400, looks cute.

  • Hi, awesome video. I have a Junior Colt .22 short (SN: 15057cc). It's having considerable difficulty ejecting spent shells upon blow-back. I've used older short ammo which has more power than the new CCI I just bought, and it will eject and cycle to the next round only 30% of the time. The CCI doesn't eject at all. I noticed that the hammer spring is under considerable pressure which is why it's so difficult to blow-back the slide completely. Do you know a solution (new spring maybe)?

  • @evanjohnmo Have you tried cleaning the pistol? I was having similar problems with my j-22. I took the slide completely apart and cleaned every part. There might be some built up dirt where the extractor sits in the slide. Remove it and clean in the slot with a q-tip. Don't oil it because more dirt will collect inthere if you do. If you are still experiencing the problem you may need to get some new parts.

  • Putting the Colt name on an Astra import was an obscenity, shame on Colt for doing that.

  • I'm told that the Colt made gun had a cast frame while the Astra was forged, so I don't understand why you feel Colt guns were better. I for one will take forged any day.

  • @partsproduction are you refering to the Model 1908 Vest Pocket when you say Colt used a cast frame? In this video I am comparing the 1908 to the Colt Jr. There is a big difference between the two pistols in small parts quality. The small parts on the Jr. feel light and flimsy while the parts on the 1908 are solid and heavy. Round for round I think the 1908 would last much longer than the Jr. That is why I feel the 1908 is better quality.

    Thanks for watching!!

  • @MrColt45acp No, the Astra Cub, AKA Colt Junior, as made in Spain had a forged frame, but made by Colt (If Colt actually made them, did they farm them out to FIE?) had a cast frame I've been told. I didn't know you were talking about the 1908, I also have one of those, but for me at least a hammer is always better than striker. My Astra Cubs are the most accurate .25 ACP's by far, and I have quite a collection of .25's. My 1908 Colt is not nearly as accurate as the Astra.

  • @partsproduction Isn't Astra a Spanish firearms company? I will choose American made over Spanish made, any day of the week. Of course, being Czech born, I would also choose Czech made over American made any day of the week. Something can be said for patriotism.

  • @leftthenormalworld All the Spanish gun makers are out of business now. As to patriotic buying, my personal philosophy is that competition is good, so one should always buy the best product, or the one at the lowest price. American companies cannot compete because of unions and government over-regulation, it's not fair, but life isn't fair. When America lets the marketplace set prices and wages,& stops interfering we can make great guns again, not plastic, zinc and MIM guns.

  • @partsproduction I thought that about Spanish firearms companies, I also think there is a reason that they are all defunct now, but I digress. Also for American companies, I am not going to comment, because it isn't my place as a foreign national, but I will say this: If you don't buy something made by your countrymen, you cannot complain about what is made in your country.

Kind of like if you don't love your country, you cannot love thyself.

    Also, what is MIM?

  • @leftthenormalworld Most US makers take shortcuts, I buy US made Dan Wesson guns, any source guns made of good materials, but most aren't. MIM is a method of approximating steel, steel powder is mixed with polyethylene and rammed into a die, then heated so the particles stick together. I recently had an MIM part break, it disabled the gun. The majority of US makers use zinc, plastic and MIM, which I won't buy no matter where they are made. Buying garbage isn't patriotic.

  • very professional!

  • got a astra firecat it seems to be a well made pstol, i wish i knew more about it! great vid!

  • The nickel one would look beautiful with pearl grips.

  • You know how crazy it would be if Astra made a model "R"?(Raffica)
