problem is the saw blade is 1/16 to 1/8 thick you need to butch 2 molding to curve on arch

the pro's(trim finishers ) have a molding planer machine and cut there own. or

the draw arched moulding to suit any shape out very hard industral plaster, which very hard

just like polyeruathane.

I think lowes sells this wood trim as "Composite" It looks like saw dust and glue molded into wood in the middle but comes primered and has a wood grain almost .But its kinda soft like styrofoam. Its the cheapest trim they sell and is very flexible and comes in many designs and lenghts. Its made in china . Might not be them same as polyurethane but would be perfect for doing this . Great Idea and thanks for sharing it.

Way cool. I always wanted to know how to do this. By the way, what type of moulding did you use? wood, the plastic stuff, mdf - does it matter?

@dlittleberry This molding is made from Polyurethane, which is a hard-condensed foam (not like Styrofoam). Different materials will result in varying results. You can get a sample of a polyurethane molding to find out what it is exactly. Check out the website.

did you rip that yourself on a tablesaw or was it bought in like that ready cut
