  • Hey can i get the measurements for this project?? i wanna build one just like it

  • is This a Car Engine ?

  • hey will, i am building a extreme budget pc. Can i buy the old parts of you? thanks

  • Fantastic if I was looking to do something like that how much would I be looking at because I want an bit of an upgrade as I have an intel Xeon quad core thank you

  • custom PC > mac

i say this because custom PC more fun oh and cheaper

  • lol 11 hard drive: its called a ssd numb nut

  • Thats sweet!

  • bosley.

  • Super porn cockpit :D

  • Thumbs up for the price tag string at 00:24

  • @MrINSANITY199 You have the eyes of a hawk...

  • Lol

  • You could just dremel the cooler shorter.

  • @LarsReviews since its a heat pipe designee that would MAJORLY cut down on performance

  • @LarsReviews I know you posted this 2 months ago but here's the reason why. Current day computers use what are called "Heat pipes" which are able to move the heat away from the processor into the fins. If you cut open the heat pipes, they will not function because they are filled with a special gas to help move the heat through the pipes. As you heat the pipes, the gas moves through the pipes, and if they are open, the gas will escape and not return.

  • dust filter?

  • I just hate it when the heatsinks are too big!

  • I see in your future a person(me) giving you 10000 to make me the best design, best performance computer in the world is 10000 to small maybe 20000 6 monitors, speedy everything lol. Well that's in the future so don't die.

  • Holy Crap, I am pretty sure that this desk is the coolest things I have ever seen. Man I wish I could have one. I wish I had all the stuff needed to build something like this

  • what is the name of that CPU & GPU core temperature reader you have?

  • whats the name of the song

  • Roughly, where would I get a desk just like that, without having to build it, at the max, mod it a little?

  • What caught my eye was that transparent hard disk cover.

  • u should put led water coolers and make it look amazing

  • Stuff like this is what makes me late for work.

  • Cool system! Show us what you do for living! Portfolio.

  • show us what you do for living!

  • hello friend what program you use to edit the videos?

  • How often do you have to dust it out?

  • This thing is incredible. I would love to get into building stuff like this.

Also what was that google gadget that you had that was displaying your cpu heat and usage? Looked really cool and useful.

  • specs?

  • thatsssssssssss arealyyyyyyyy alotttttttttttttt offffffffffffffff workkkkkkkkkkkk meteeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

but its a very nice set up!!!!!!!

  • Dudeee.. why is there smoke? :D or well i think i saw smoke. lol

  • Talk about room eficiency. Now lets talk about upgrading...

  • How do you set up the monitor like that? Pretty interesting 4 monitor on one stand. I want to know how because just the regular stand is pain and take to much space xP. Message back if can and thanks.

  • I was always really impressed that you did build your own PC, and even make a "box" to have multiple hard drives in the computer, like 6 >, so I will be always impressed, I hope I do the same things like you, you're an inspiration to me :D

  • @LookHalo3 but even with that talent, I'm no really sure that would be really safe for the information in the hard drives that you use a homemade Energy SATA "multiplier", I don't have a way to prove it, I just thing it, but if it work perfect I don't have any problem. :)

  • dude!! awSUMM!! thats the 1st real "desktop pc" iv ever seen lol.

  • really enjoy watching your vids man, great work!

  • What is the brand of that silver keyboard?

  • I want to see him build a water-cooled system sometime.

  • @garfield2095

he does video editing. raw video files take up huge amounts of space. he has them in RAID 10 (1+0) so that the drives are faster, and half of the drives are back ups, since loosing his files would probably cost him more than the price of the extra drives

  • great desk. im going to do this eventually

  • ich ave a gigabyte-motherboard too:D

  • how do you play on lan?:D

  • Do you actually need such a powerful computer?

i mean all you seam to be doing is editing your youtube videos on it.

  • @wiipronhi hmmm maybe he has a job???? lol....

  • You sir are a computer God xD

  • Hey Will, you should upload some benchmarks of the desk so we can see how that beast performs.

  • do u hav liek a blueprint of this that u could send me?

  • nice video!

  • Use Ultramon it let's you have different backgrounds and taskbars!

  • dude, whats your job?

  • how do you figure out how much power you need for the psu's?

  • What the compoments in old pc ?

  • Dude .. why not Water Cooling :) on this sistem ?

  • holy crap 1.x TB movie project? is that like a professional movie?

  • Did you end up doing anything with the video cards so they would be a little more heat-efficient? From the looks, you could move card 1 from PCI0 to PCI1, and card 2 from PCI2 to 3.

  • @kingnee I ended up doing that. One thing to keep in mind is that a lot of motherboards with more than 2 pci x16 slots have x16 slots that are only x8 or less. So now one is in an x8 slot, but its not really a big deal for me because im not doing gaming or anything and they aren't particularly powerful cards to begin with.

  • How do you turn it on??

  • @linweisean Theres a red power button on the face of the desk, just to the right of the drawer along with a couple usb ports and a firewire port.

  • Great work man, Love the desk.

    Keep the videos coming.

I know how to do my own inline sata line for my PC when i do my full custom acrylic case that i am building in a few week.

Thanks for the tutorials & work logs.

  • umm you know how that cooler was to big couldn't you just have raised the glass?

  • @marybob321 The desk it already pretty thick, especially because im use to it now there would have been no way to really do that and have it both be comfortable and look good. That's a particularly big cooler, since I've gotten an also big zalman that fits in just fine.

  • You should have used liquid cooled system... Solid state drive is a huge bonus, but you have to keep in mind that they delete system "Junk files". Also, what graphic card did you have? A quad 8800 + GTX overclocked would beat everything.

  • just curious, why do u need 11 hard-drives?

  • Comment removed

  • @garfield2095 6 1.5tb in raid 10 for editing, 2 2tb for a scratch disk, also for editing, the 2 ssd's run the os and program files, and the other ones for work, music, etc.

  • @garfield2095 you know why ;)

  • @garfield2095 Would you want to download porn in standard definition or high definition? which takes more space, but shows every detail ;)

  • @garfield2095 did you hear him? just one of the projects he was working on was 1.5TB uncompressed.

  • @garfield2095 For the type of job he has & its a custom PC , not some piece of shit dell !

  • @garfield2095 lots of data

  • How loud are the Vantec Tornados? And how is the sound Card?

  • @darkgamerdave That's a custom bracket made that mounts directly onto the table.

  • Cool a semi see through hard drive :D

  • hey why not make the system water cooled? would it not fit in that space?

  • @jonyv14 It would for sure fit in the space. Watercooling is something I just haven't gotten into yet.

  • the scratches on the metal gives it character :D

  • transfer the second graphic card near the ide something......

  • Very nice job!!!

  • Cool 100%

  • Core2Quads are shit compared to even i3's. They don't even have hyper-threading. AMD used to kick their asses.

  • The cameras is not very sharp near the edges. It makes me squint.

  • My i7 860, 1.5TB, ATI Radeon 5850 can output a 720p WMV that's 7 minutes long within 20 minutes. I don't know what the fuck you did wrong but it shouldn't take 9 minutes with all that. More like 3-5 if you ask me.

  • how did you get that mouse to work on glass i tried that with 3 different laser mouses and they cant work on glass

  • @1800Supreme I usually use a mouse pad, but this particular mouse (logitech performance mouse MX) actually advertises that it can do it, which it can. My old ones wouldn't.

  • What is that car in the background?

  • @Bobaklives It's a VW Bug that I made a few adjustments too.

  • unique setup.. id look at fixing that heat problem you have tho.. im sure that glass on top gets pretty warm..

  • @jesman1985 Not sure what heat problem your assuming there is. There's more than enough space for fans on this thing compared to a normal case.

  • @UnknownLobster ya you can have fans all day.. but unless its pushing the air out.. then all your doing is circulating hot air.. and that heat is heating up the glass which will make the components even hotter.. mybe you do have an exhaust.. but because its over such a large space.. your going to want to have alot of em..

  • @jesman1985 the stock heat sink sucks as is and i have a case that most likely moves even more air his case 3-120mm and 1-200mm

  • How long did it take to upgrade the whole thing?

  • @IMALLSUME I dont remember now, It took a little while longer obviously as I had to removed the mobo a couple times cause of the heat-sink problems. I don't think It was much longer than it would have taken to upgrade a normal case.

  • xD Killer Cable!

  • you know what ? I'm freakin' jealous xD

  • I've noticed a few commenters suggesting an upgrade on graphics cards to Radeon 5k series. Here's a few points about them:

+ They support up to 8 monitors between two or more cards, even in Crossfire.

    - Must use Display Port or have an ACTIVE DP->DVI adapter for a single card to run more than 2 monitors.

    - Premiere CS5 does not accelerate on ATI cards at this time; you need to use CS4 (a copy is included in Master Suite) to get acceleration on ATI cards.

    - I doubt he's got room for 5970s.

  • did you wear any like static proof gloves or wrist bands?

  • @Twixie1994 No.

  • did i see 2 powersupplies? if im right how did you do that?

  • @stanlymanly2 It's a pretty simple mod, you just have to just splice in the green wire from one to the other to get them to power up together. I realized I didn't need 2 though for this setup so one is powered down.

  • @UnknownLobster does it matter that one is 500 watt and the other is like 700?

  • REALLY clean setup, i like your vids. you got sweet craftsman ship and alot of tools lol. i was woundering what progrom are you using to moniter your pc's fans and tempiture? also do you have any sugjestions for the best way to cool down the Video cards? thanks

  • @toco002 The temperature is being monitored through a windows gadget that works with a piece of software called Lavalys Everest.

  • Enjoy having to take out the whole thing to put in a new sink :o sucks man.

  • This is what I want to build... just something this sick... You are a GOD... and yeah, that Thor's Hammer Cooler would've been amazing looking and probably much better than the stock cooler

  • hey can i ask where you got your WD raptor x hdds i would realy like to get my hands on some of them

  • @timithy1 I took that out, it actually just died (and that was a rma'ed one that died a couple years ago.) I forgot where I got it, this was when they were really new.

  • @UnknownLobster oh darn ok thanks man mite not get one now all the feed back is negative so yer lol

  • at 5:40 theres a "gaget" that shows your motherboard, cpu, gpu1, gpu2 and st325 temperatures.

Could you send me a link to download that?

  • i envy you. i wish i had the money to actually purchase these parts :( Do you know any good program for a 16 year old that has moderate knowledge about computer programming and video making that would give him some money to upgrade his computer?

  • hey, was that video that you were working on the "black dwarf" video?

  • @WatchMe42 Yup.

  • Hey Was wondering how do you set your monitors? as in monitor management

  • @TrueYears I didnt use any special tools for the longest time, just configured them in windows. I recently started using Ultramon though - primarily to get the task bar across all of them. It has some other pretty nice features too.

  • @UnknownLobster yeah I have like 6 monitor set up with one 5870 and hate the fact that you are kind limited with you can do I mostly do etrading but sometimes whenever I configure one it affect the other ones but new do it thought anyways thanks

  • ineed more rams

  • You'd be surprised that you usually only need one 750 W PSU for the setting you have right now and before. And that is only to hold the full load. Which means that all the components are going at it 100%.

  • two 9800 thats cards are shit to that rig :S

  • will you be putting the thor's hammer in?

  • Cant you buy those clear spacers they use for glass tops to space out the top so you can use the other cooler?

  • dang i love his creativeness

  • if you can you should move GPU #2 down to the last PCIe16x slot if the SLI cable is long enough to reach down there.

  • this is a cool channel, i subbed :D nice PC even know it isnt a gaming PC... it out performs mine by FAR =/

  • Dude you have given me an idea that I never thought of best way to have a great computer and the desk I want :D

  • OMG!! man , Your work is absolutely AMAZING!!! Don't know if anyone suggested it here but you can get a small ready to use water cooling kit for the CPU - you've got the Corsair H50 and the CoolIT ECO ALC which would be perfect for your system.

The contain a closed loop with a CPU block,Pump and a 120mm Radiator - there is no maintenance with these as they are completely closed.

They cost around 75-85$ - you should check them out.

  • i was wondering why you have 2 Power Supplies.. can you please explain?

  • @AnimeFreak20052001 Earlier I was using two, they were only 550w and it was cheaper than buying a whole new 800 or something at the time. I discovered on this setup it was not needed and disconnected the second unit.

  • @UnknownLobster oh so in case if your 1st 550 burns out you could have the 2nd one hooked up! nice! was that your plan or what?

  • @UnknownLobster why not water cool there must be lots of room and u dont need stock cooler :P

  • @UnknownLobster but i have to say... I LOVE YOUR WORK!

  • Why did you not buy 1 HD5000 card instead of the 2 9800gt's. For example the ''HD5850''. It costs around €240 and it has dx11 + he's much faster then two 9800gt's that both cost around €200.

  • Great project! But a little tip, RAID means redundancy. But there is no substitute for a back-up! I found that out as well after loosing all my files :P

  • I see a halo 3 edition xbox over there :D

  • you can have final cut pro on windows? i never knew that!

  • @mjeatsies No , I dont think I said that. I built the os xbox pro because i needed to install osx and "learn" final cut pro. After using it quite a lot I must say I hate it. Adobe Premiere FTW.

  • @UnknownLobster can you tell me some major differences? or does it just come towards personal preference? because im used to final cut pro. but since i only use that in school for class where we use macs. i can't bring any projects home to work on windows. is adobe premier really that much better?

  • Now there's just one little problem with that machine...

    It runs Windows :p

  • makes me want to build a new computer ...

  • Just a question, why did you choose de dual GeForce 9800s instead of dual Radeon 5750 for around $30-40 more each? Seems a reasonable investment to get Eyefinity for your monitors.

I´m not a video editor, but I can tell you for sure that a FireGL or Quadro graphics card are worth every penny when doing heavy CAD work, not sure how great those are for video editing

    Good Job

  • The money this all must cost, I wish I had the month to do so.

  • The whole desk computer setup is amazing. The additional card just for premiere preview? I didn't even know you could do that. The SSD+SATA multi-raid system was enlightening and I'm not as intimidated to try it myself now. Thank you for that. I was a bit miffed at the minimalistic cable management. After everything you did it seemed out of character. :)

  • what are the dimensions

  • K well i need a new desk and im gonna upgrade to and x58 i7 combo so i guess ill just do what you did and combine the two :)

  • you seriously just merged my two favorite hobbies (fabrication, computers) and even have a bug. (i have a 64).

props on this build, as well as the Black dwarf. Yet to watch anything else yet but none the less, nice work.

  • Hey superb mods man!

One thing though...Watch your second graphics card as the sound card is right up against the fan. I have seen so many cards die due to this.

But as you have really good 'case' cooling, i dont suppose its a problem. Just thought id mention that.

Excellent work. Best mods I have seen in a long while!

  • You should switch your main and your preview monitors :/

  • thats awesome! but it would look even better with watercooling :P

  • Man you RULES! A great work! From Argentina I give you my Congratulations!

P/d: Can yo tell me the name of the Gadget (temp cpu, mother, drive, gpu, etc)

    Thanks

  • @GabiShadow It's called "Multi Sensor" and it need to work with a program called Lavalys Everest.

  • @UnknownLobster I now the Everest! Thanks! I watching The Black Dwarf! Amazing man!

I wish have the half of your workshop!! :-P

  • excuse me sir i was wondering if u could help me, im building my dream computer and i wanted to know if u could look at wat i got so far and tell me if theres anything u recommended plzzzz help

  • Great Job man!Damn your inspiring!

  • Great work! You've done a great job with these videos.

  • it could over heat fast man!

  • Two PSUS?

  • My goodness this is a hardcore setup. Its really very interesting and you present it SO very well in this video its easy for us to follow along and enjoy the video. Thank you very much for sharing!

  • Nice!!!

  • This is such an awesome idea! What is the Sony you used druring the build? Do you have a link for it?

  • The Sony I used in the os xbox pro video was a Sony HVR V1U. This video was made with my Sanyo Xacti FH1.

  • Gratz man, awesome setup you have there ^

  • the cpu cooler is just a peice of metal just. You have power tools, just cut off the top part.

  • but the oil inside the copper pipes would drain and wouldnt cool it as well.

  • I didn't know there is oil inside the pipes. ;)

  • I wonder how the cooling is on that....

I'm surprised that you haven't brought up watercooling yet. That seems like it would best foe that system.

Great job though. Wish I had one!

  • man i really love ur work and im not hiding that i envy you for your ability to do something with your creativity. but i must say this you gotta rest more. I have killed my eyes in pc's and video games and its totally not worth it. cant wait to see your next *light bulb * that will pop up from your head :D peace out

  • update your website! would love som high res pics and full spec list

  • Nice Desk Mod nicely done, was a pita about the cooler, as someone said Corsair H50 would solve the problem fine!

  • see if u can move the graphics card that is hotter to the other side of the sound card. it looks like u have another pci x16 slot there, and ur sli cable looks like it will reach
