I used to like PressTV, but then I realized its headquarters are actually in London, and that their views are the views of runaway Iranians, many of whom dont even have respect for the heroes of Iran. It is just slightly moderated by the Iranian government as I assume it receives some funds from it, but it does not express the views of the real Iranian people living in Iran, but rather a mix of the runaways who are in majority dissidents.
Press TV maintains a studio in Tehran. It is true that this channel receives lots funding from the Iranian government. But the channel claims to be totally neutral. According to them, they wouldn't chose sides between their government and the West.
And Fox News claims to be fair and balanced, but why should we care about what media outlets have to say about themselves?
My personal decision is only paying attention to real representative media: IRNA represents the Iranian government stances (not Press TV), Al Manar represents the Shia Muslims of Lebanon, Fox News represents the US Administration (not the American people). Those are interesting to analyze those particular groups, but never regard them as deliverers of realities.
