  • just seen the promo for the new one,im glad its back.JR is still the man..

  • this opening is the best in aaalll of tv shows

  • I don't care so much about the show, but it's rather cool to see what my hometown looked like when I was a young kid. Downtown Dallas looks completely different these days. Oh, and Southfork proved to be a nice place for my senior prom.

  • You got to have a employee like JR running things people respect him and also his family except Sue ellen. He knows how to wheel and deal thats what it is all about! When Bobby took over he did not know what in the world was going on and people walked all over Bobby. So my respect to JR to keep things flowing for Hueing Oil I would hire him on the spot and to make sure he does not burn me for money!

  • @Mickey2206 Only thing that would have been better is if they had had crossover episodes. I'd have loved to see J.R. get David Banner mad. heh heh.

  • I was 10 when this went off the air. I remember my mom used to stay watching this back in the day. In college, Soap Net played every episode of Dallas and Dynasty. I got more hooked on Dallas rather than Dynasty. Larry Hagman as J.R. was off the chain. One of the best villians in Soaps.

  • DALLAS IS BACK!

I hope it's gonne be GREAT!

  • @AndyAce83 I have a feeling Dallas is gonna be amazing!!!

  • @BlushResponse1

    Oh yeah!

  • more like trash tv...

  • Dennis Patrick, FTW! <3

  • my new 9/11 theory: j.r. did it.

  • larry hagman rocks.................

  • yeah should do a prequel dallas, like a star trek reboot.SET IT IN THE 60S WHEN JR MET SUE ELLEN.

  • J R at his best, i like when sue ellen laid in to him in front of his mum and dad,ARE YOU MAD WOMEN...YOU DONT CROSS THAT MAN.BRILLIANT SERIES ENDING

  • The way Sue Ellen looked when she saw that gun...Really, really precious.

  • wish they would bring dallas back like melrose place and 90210

  • i saw this when was about 10 years old.jr rocks...in my school we done a steepstake on who shot him..my pick was vaughn leland..

  • saw the full episode on freebietv(dot)net

  • Dallas will rise again. The natural order will return.

  • Maggie shoots him, right?

  • @GRD31u

nope. Kristen did. (I'm pretty sure. )

  • It is too bad the full episode is not here. If you watch the last few episodes of this season the writing is just so, so good. And it was the end and peak of the "independent oilman" era. So it all fit in.

The Asian wells being stolen from JR and his "investors" mirrored the USA companies having their claims stolen around the world so it all fit.

  • That God Damn Dallas...

  • 80's american dream and drama movie!

    nowadays economical fallen-down usa!

  • It ain't this show's fault for all that. The problems we have today stem back to Gulf War when this show was already cancelled.

  • But even that looked like a masterpiece compared to the trashy ecomony today, at least bush sr. ended that war greatfully.

  • This theme song gives me chills!

  • does anybody have this eps this is by far the greatest bit of TV ever

  • All of season 3 is out on DVD. Go on ebay and you should be able to pick it up cheaply. The whole of season 3 is awesome. A House Divided was just the icing on the cake.

  • Conundrum. That was the name of the episode. We should be getting the season after the dream on Tuesday or Wednesday in the US.

  • i love the disco/dance/techno theme they had

  • JR is such a bitch!! Why can't he be respectful to Vaughn Leland and to his wife Sue Ellen? JR deserved to be shot, because he poisoned everything, and everyone he works with is very mad @ him, lol.

  • JR SHOT! best cliffhanger ever!

  • Wow, Dallas (the city that is) looks so puny in these credits compared to how it looks now. *LOL*

  • ya seriusly

  • It was 1980! It's '09! Whadda ya expect?!

  • cool. i went to that house in dallas and did the tour back in 95.

  • great, indeed!

  • Shades of the past... I still miss this show and Falcon Crest

  • good........

  • "It was CROOKED!" LOL! Vaughn Leland was such a loser!

  • now this was GREAT television

  • Yeah, that schedule brought me and my sister closer together. We watched Hulk, then took an hour off while Dukes was on (hated that show) and talked about stuff. Then back to the TV at 10. Good times...

  • this show had the best music score!

  • TV was great then. No writers' strike...just family drama and shooting JR...good times!

  • not true there was a writers guild strike in 1987 look it up!

  • But this was prior to that. Talkin' 1980 when JR got shot that first time.

  • actually this was the second time he was shot he and jock got wounded on a hunting trip season1

  • Yeah, I had that in mind also, but a lot of people may not remember that one. The Dove Hunt. great early episode. I love the bar fight. Everyone is in the brawl except for JR who just hits a guy with a beer bottle. But outside he's staggering with the rest of them like he did a lot. Funny stuff. Hagman rules.

  • that was the time where Jock found out he had a brain tumor that was un-cureable.

  • Comment removed

  • Not a writer's strike - but this was the last episode before the actor's strike of 1980, which postponed the resolution to the "Who Shot J.R." mystery, letting the publicity snowball even more....

  • Yeah, I remember that. It was a lonnng summer...not for me I was just a punk kid who had to go back to school. The show was at the top it its game here.

  • This was when tv was great to watch

  • This was a brilliant, unforgettable episode - if only for Doctor Ellby!

  • and Greg Forrester. That was Lucy's man after she dumped Alan Beam. He was a professor at SMU.

  • I am in Dallas on business now and went sightseeing just yesterday to Southfork. Was neat to see the "Ewings" house!

  • the dream ruined the show.

The Dream season wasnt all that bad but the resolution that it was a dream is what killed the show

  • Notice the shadow of the chopper at 0:41. Lol

  • It's seriously one of the best-shot intros for a television series. I love the flybys sliding past...

  • Forgot to say that you'll note in later versions they were careful to have a much tighter frame on that building, so no chopper there...

  • JR SHOT! best cliffhanger ever!

  • fANATICA ESTA SERIE

  • NOtice how as the second season started, the theme was jazzed and based up a little more and then again with every season. I watched 13 yrs of it all in one summer aboout ten yrs ago on UK gold. sounds like a waste of time, but still saw a bit of sun. Does anyone know where I can see the episode where this old guy came along and showed JR what life would have been like if he had never been born?? Or did I dream it???

  • That was the final episode. That whole season ought to be for sale on DVD soon if not already.

  • And is that the one where Cliff comes off the phone and, in shock, says he is now the acting President of the United States?

  • (it plays on TV land)

  • If you have rodgers cable, it plays on T.V. on channel 292 at 2:00pm-3:00pm or 10:00pm-11:00pm

  • I remember many years ago seeing an old new report with tapes with storyline being brought into the UK under Police guard. LOL Its unthinkable now, but such was the hugeness of this show it was somehow appropriate.

  • the best opening theme music in tv history

  • how many seasons are there And where Can i find it

  • So which season is this one then?

  • it works now!

  • it played for me 3 days ago, but not anymore.

  • Why can't I get this to play? I have the latest player installed...

  • great quality!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks for the video!
