That was pathetic. I have used gas to start fires and would not recomend it. But it can be done without setting yourself on fire. As soon as you poor the gas out it starts to vaporize and spread around you. What you do is quikly poor a small amount on the unlit fire. Then quikly make a little pee trail on the ground with the gas 10 to 15 feet out away from the fire. Then quikly light the end of the gas pee trail and presto.
