  • geat thanks, i have been looking for confirmation about your exact driver setup because i went with gecko g540 and the 48v 7.3amp PS & 425oz all from keling as well and i was worried i was going to lose my rapid speeds, the machine im going to use it on is rack and pinion and is very quick, so thanks again.

  • NVM i asked the IPM before i saw the ending lol oppsie but what about the motors?

  • @irishkendoll Yes, those motors are Kehling 425 oz, NEMA 23 steppers. This machine is capable of rapids to 300 IPM, but I usually run about 100 ipm these days with the actual cutting feeds as fast as the bit and material will allow.

  • what size motors are you running? 425oz? i have been following these guys for some time, is the kit fairly stress free to build? any difficulties assembling? also how man IPM are you routing in the vid? looked great!

  • nice work man, im waitin on my kit from fine line auto right now. cant wait

  • motors are way bigger than your power supply specs, and of course for the beauty of G540. the G540 works with 50V so the closer you are, the better you get. greatmachine anyway!

  • I am running a 48 volt power supply with 7.3 amps of current. That power supply was recommended to me by the folks I got the steppers and 540 driver from (KelingInc.) Everything works nice and strong - fast too!

  • Crash, that machine looks great! But your vacuum is a LOT louder than the router motor. ;-)

I'll bet you'll soon be running it at 250 IPM between cuts. Woohoo!

  • Lucky !
