I remember back in the late 1970's, I read that Faye Dunaway wanted to play Loretta. I loved Faye in "Mommie Dearest," but I really can't see her playing Loretta Lynn. Loretta handpicked Sissy herself and even started promoting her selection before Sissy had officially accepted the role that would earn her an Oscar from the Academy Of Motion Picture Academy in 1981.

Tommy Lee Jones was great. Glad they didn't get Harrison Ford. I like HF, but he couldn't have been Mooney! Sissy Spacek was amazing, too! Love Loretta! She is SO humble and honest. Awesome and beautiful woman, indeed!

Oh wow.. I guess Harrison Ford was at one time "supposed" to play Mooney in the movie?!? Interesting....
