  • Where does the Art go after the Burning Man is finished for the year? Are they permanently installed elsewhere? Or just taken down until the next year?

  • Have you filmed this with a mobile phone?

  • This would be so much cooler if the vid quality was higher ;-;

  • Can't wait for METROPOLIS

  • i read every comment for 7 pages, im obviouslly a "virgin," but is it like a stupid question to ask when this thing goes on, im gonna be in the area for some time and i don't plan on missing it... please help me out

  • this is awsome!

  • Playtime, playtime, playtime - Fookin Brilliant!

Can't think of a better way to blow £1000 every year.

  • How much is it, for real?

  • gotta be 18 i think and its in black rock nevada

  • nope, kids there too. under 15s need parents though.

  • haha the kids camp!

  • Whats the music at the beginning guys?

  • whats burning man

  • hi- you can search online for the burning man site and there is lots of explanations: an artfest- a free society- people living without boundaries.....it's wonderful

  • Its the most awesome festival its a mixture of different kinds of art and self expression. If you are open minded its a awesome thing to go do!

  • How old do you have to be to go here and have a good time

Im gunna be 18 when I hope to go

    Is that too young

    Will it be awkward?

  • it is an all age event and all types of people are welcome. I've met people from all over the world there. Just read the survival guide thoroughly, leave absolutely no trace, respect the environment, respect women and all people and PARTICIPATE! It doesn't take much to make a few people happy. have fun! bring a bike!

  • would it be awkward to bring like a motorhome there like on malcome in the middle haha

  • not at all. rv's make good wind block too - and you can tie stuff off them like the all important shade canopy - ahhh the luxury!

  • oh thats cool then....does it cost to get in? and its in arizona right

  • Nevada

  • What is the music at the beginning of the this trailer ?

  • Etnica - Baraka from the album Equator

  • Drugs. Love. Love more love, and maybe drugs. Maybe. No. No is OK too. No one thinks your a looser but you think you are, which is why you question why you should or shouldn't give some love.

  • I've been going for awhile, burning man is controlled by babylon, it has a heavy federal presence and was called "the ideal public land use" by george W bush. I believe it is the modern day Sodom and Gomorrah

  • Great freedom ...

  • I wanna go here.. sometime in the future.. when i get a chance to leave the netherlands for a long time..

  • OMG I just have to take my little kids to this!!!! Maybe next year I go.

  • check out the burning man kids camp!

  • my parents went this year and said it was an awesome experience...next year their taking me and my brother and i can't wait!

  • People!! 90 percent of you commenters are NOT in the spirit of this.. Burning Man is not about "art", as you call it, but SELF EXPRESSION and the belief in such and the ablility to do so without being surrounded by judgmental assholes like you! That's why it exists.. where else can you get away from predjudice?

  • what's with all the self expression and artistic appreciation haters out there? Maybe i get Burning Man because I actually have an imagination, or maybe it's just because I'm an artist. I love close minded people...they make me laugh.

  • I love how every time some crazy asshole makes a macaroni picture and calls it "art", there are 30,000 other crazy assholes that will vouch for it. Makes me laugh :)

  • I'm definitely a crazy asshole but I don't like macaroni pictures and some "art" actually sucks, like some of the stuff at Burning Man.

  • well..if enough people say red is blue...(macaroni pictures and art) maybe your the one with the messed up perspective...just an observation...i meant nothing hostile what so ever

    =swoop=

  • I was just being an ass, no worries :)

  • for sure... =)

im going next year...anyone know when the tickets start to sell???

    =swoop=

  • whT?? Burning man is always full of sexy girls and he didn't film any of them he just filmed the old and fat ones.

    it sucks

  • Go to hell! This comment just shows that you know nothing about Burning Man! Go to a burn and see what it's all about you f-ing loser!

  • None of these people have anything to say, its a shame that they enable one another. To go to such lengths for self expression, reminds me of a Calvin and Hobbes strip where Calvin yells out to an empty night sky "I'm significant!."

    mhmm.

  • They're just letting themselves loose from the corporate constrains of the world and being themselves. I don't think all of them think "by expressing myself the skies shall part and the world will become ideal and perfect". It's just a haven for people to love and live.

  • amazing!

  • any sex going on?

  • There is nothing wrong with the spawn of WASP's recovering their tribal shamanic roots after our forefathers have stripped it away.

  • You either get it or you don't.

  • WHAT THE F@#K IS BURNING MAN

  • FREAKIN MAGIC!

  • What is the music at the beginning of the this trailer please?

  • The party sux now, this generation has killed it big time.....bad vibes.

  • i disagree...such a blame is a nonsense. it is all just beginning. the desert was awesome. some real magic for sure. you get what you put in. sipmple.

  • HONESTLY, this years burn looked pretty bad. It didn't look like a lot of people had their hearts in it. I have yet to go but, if it keeps looking like it did this year, i will just have to start my own burn.

  • get out of the house and out on the street. You don't know shit. It was awesome.

  • You get what you put in. The playa brings out what is within. The truth and love is not for sissies. If you do not connect, it is in you.

  • Great video of a very, very, very odd event.

  • blue man group?

  • Don't do drugs.

  • Where is this festival And when

  • Black Rock City Nevada, a few hours from Las Vegas, hang a left in the next dimension!!

  • Better the world. Dive onto a freeway.

  • The world would be a better place if we ALL dove onto a freeway. teach the primates how to drive.

  • dont do drugs

  • I understand it's a fucking scam that this year went more corporate than it already is. Next year they'll be seeling glowstix to the yuppies and the teeny boppers. Bury the man!

  • O ye of little knowledge shut your yap. There's no bigger party in the world. Try it.

  • If you think it's a scam, lame, a cult or whatever...then just don't go. You will most likely just never understand.

  • this is pretty lame - can't even finish watching it. Not sure what the point is - or where the humor is?

  • Interesting and well qualified opinion I'm sure. Anyway, I guess paying $225 for the best time of my life every year is a waste of money. Maybe I should just invest in a Playstation and a large supply of nachos instead like 90% of the pale fat kiddies today.

  • That was in response to Chakkname PHD.

  • i really don't undertsand the point of this festival... ok it's a life festival whatever... a lot of art, but do they play music???????!!! u know big speakers!DJ'S! loud trance!!!??? some kind of a rave??? if it doesn't this festival can kiss my ass!!!!!!!!

  • tHATS ALL THEY DOO IS SPIN HOUSE AND TRANCE AND PLAY MUSIC THEY ARE UP THERE RIGHT NOW

  • I photo'd 1/4 of the feature film, "the burn" (1999).

The answer is... the festival is 99% decentralized. "Everybody" is performing and an artist... so, spectator/artists journey around taking in the shows. No stages; no bleechers. It is unique.

  • Burning Man is the shit..

    def. a trip..

    haha

  • hippies!

  • Have to go, need several hundred dollars to travel across the counrty in my Subaru, buy lots of fast food, sunscreen and get my ticket. Any donations? Anyone..... donations?

  • debe ser la ostia

  • burning man sucks but its soo good

  • What is the hole meaning of burning man?

Is it just being hippyisch and chilling in the dessert...

  • the hole meaning?

    hmm.

    hole.

    meaning.

yeah. grammar is so important in communication.

  • well the hole meaning of burning man?

how can you answer a question that doesn't make sense? and calling people vulgarities isn't making you look any better...

i suggest you work on the one language you obviously haven't mastered yet before you ask a question.

  • if it was a burning woman, it'd never be allowed

  • Haha, probably true though I don't think you're seeing it correctly. I've never been but my mom's a hippy and she always told me it was called Burning Man because it was like "Burning THE man." Like government or the one who controls you or whatever, the gender was only man because that is commonly noted as the powerful one: "THE man." "Stick it to THE man." Etc. If you were being sarcastic sorry, it's a bit hard to note that sort of thing on the internet.

  • lol some crazy people!

  • Experience it! Keep the memories lovingly poised in your mind and soul. Snaps and vids never cut it. The nature of BMan has no constant axis point. BMan is a wiley critter. All one can catch on record are tasty little tid bits, like this one. Instead of just feasting your eyes and ears read Donn Cortez' book "The Man Burns Tonight: A Black Rock City Mystery".

  • I just ordered the book online, I was waiting for some author to do 'something' about the man, so it's good?

  • Cortez' book was recommended by the BMORG. More importantly, I've passed it on to friends and family who've never been to Burning Man (inc. some who will never go) and they all loved the book. I doubt I'll get the book returned to me. They just keep passing it along after reading it in a flash. ;)

  • Very cool!

  • It's allright. A lot of stuff filmed or photographed at burning man are just snapshots, no continuity, no story, not much depth. very repeatitive. not many people have brought much photography or film that is more than a snapshot.

  • Check it out, i have ben there ...altleast my dad does

  • This is from 2003, it says it in the video.

  • wtf is this? magic glasses wasnt even there last year.

  • thanks for noticing! ;> this video is from 2003. i miss the tunnel!

  • Kewl vid!...really makes ya miss the playa..I missed last year...not gonna miss this year!
